I think it's funny the West fans are sayig how Wheelersburg is always stuck up and thinks we are always better than everyone. IF you look at most of these post by true Burg people they are saying how suprised they are that Wheelersburg is 9-0 because of the youth of the team. In my opinion I knew this team could be where they by being aorund them in jr high and freshman. The senior group struggle in jr high but that was a coaching issue. The junior class is the cream of the crop in Southern Ohio with the athletes they have. West people can talk all they want about how big their back are and how they will run over them but I'm pretty sure Ironton's back are bigger than West and run just as hard and Burg held there own against them. No one really seems to think about that. We will all see how it turns out Friday at about 10 pm.

I haven't seen Ironton since watching them versus the Burg on tv, so their backfield may have grown up a bit and they may be playing Murphy back their again; but the backs that played for them week 1 are not near as physical as the ones we have. Bob Lutz would love this team.

I am not from nor for either school but want to say ahead of time after watching several of each teams games this season that if West gets beat and has several penalties to just a few for Burg then it is probably right. A flag can be thrown every play and everyone knows that but West seems to just openly hold constantly so they get caught often. I don't know if it is a coaching or player problem but there shouldn't be any whining post-game if West has 12 penalties to a few for Burg. Chances are, they earned them. Good luck to both teams.

I really think this is going to be good hard played game and that this game will be good for the area! These are two very good teams and I know that both of these coaches are going to have their boys ready. I dont have a dog in this hunt either but I truly think that West is for real and that they have a HUGE opportunity to prove it on Friday. Coch Trip. is a good coach and this success at West was just a matter of time. However, you can never count BURG out....good program...good coaches...hard to bet against.

Still my gut says the SIDERS get the W.

I have been watching high school football in Southern ohio for years and this years west team is one of the best teams I have seen in along time.I feel the Burg is good but they wont be enough to stop the Senators.
