Clear advantage to West IMO.

Quickness and overall speed, which are the only things that Burg MAY have an advantage on, will be reduced in the sloppy stuff.

Strength and power, which in my mind West has way more of, will prevail.

West runs the powers and dives well. The Qb is really the only one that has to make quick cuts and the mud affects quick cuts.

West is hard to tackle dry, let alone wet. The key for West still remains in how well they can contain the Burg Qb when he drops back to pass, then takes off running.

2005 Game played in the Mud for the SOC II, both teams are on an equal playing field, dry, mud, snow or fog!

These are two totally different teams. West ran a wing t then and Burg had a little more size.

Don't sit there and believe that this weather won't adversely affect both teams now.

Moty, same things were said by almost the same people about that West team. Burg had the size but West had the size, better QB, and an unstoppable RB, but the game was played in the mud and we all watched a great hard fought game in the mud for a Burg win for the SOC II. None of that matters now, and the rain does not matter, it is called adjusting to win and great teams with great coaches and athletes are able to do that.

I don't know if Wheelersburg has an orthopedic surgeon on their team or not. Maybe it's just caused by a rock in his jock.

It will affect both teams but West has more of a power game than Burg. Everyone knows that muddy conditions affect speed more than power.

So by your statement you think the Burg is the team more capable of making those adjustments.

I heard Burg had the fire department on the practice field today watering it down in preperation for friday night. Also put in the longer spikes for better traction. Any truth to this?

I think the worst side is going down even with all those boys that should have graduated last year, but were held back a few years ago. They knew that group didn't stand a chance against the 08 Class of Men from The Burg! Just like they don't stand a chance against this BURG TEAM!!!!!!

I highly doubt that the Porter Township Fire Department would do that and longer spikes wouldn't matter if it is going to be as muddy as people predict.

Obviously you haven't watched West to much and is going to be in for a big suprise. Each one of them has the ability to take over the game and are great lead blockers

I think the truth is no practice night before the game and gee let's risk injury to a player on the night before just to slop around an a wet field.Hope this post was in jest.

Hey folks, anyone getting excited about this game :?: I have been studing this game all week long both teams are some what the same but there are a few differences.
the rain is going to be falling for this one but really dont think it will hurt WEST as much as the burg. So Im going with WEST over the burg.

WEST-34
burg-20

I have been pretty close on all my games this year. So before you go saying anything check out my prediction on preveious games this whole season.

If Wheelersburg keeps it close early, they WILL find a way to win, they always do in big games.
