I would saqy the muddy mess in the 05 game may have had spomething to do with a little ROUND ball. Key places were hel of a mess. West doesnt have that problem. Both teams can line up with 180-200+ lb backs. I dont see any difference. Only thing may be J& B shanks cutting against the grain. Other than that, Craigmiles and White run very hard and so do the west backs. Key will be keeping the olineman for West off the Linebackers for Burg and West containing the off tackle run of Burg with 2 lead blocks (i guess you could call it a sweep also).

Burgs passing attack, although mostly non existant since game 1 and 2, will definitely be affected by the rain, but if its not that bad, I look for them to put itup!

It's game day people. Time to put the women and children to bed and play some football.

Burg can win this game. I just don't see West putting a huge number on the Burg defense. This game has the makings of a typical classic Burg vs. West for the SOC championship game.

As for the weather, unless it is a complete downpour I think the field will stand up well to some rain. It is so dry right now the ground will soak up light showers like a sponge. I hope the weather passes and we can see both these teams stay on thier game plan.

An exciting time indeed to be a Pirate or Senator.

Wet field conditions have to favor West in this one. Even so I am going with the Pirates as they will find a way to win this ball game. Pirates sink the Senators on Aaron White's game winning FG late to seal the Pirates perfect 10-0 season.
