DRIFTER wrote:Sorry, but the league is really down this year, no disrespect at all meant. Chillicothe has not played anyone sinse the Sheridan game. All the talk of how much better they have gotten, how would you know? Now i will give you the fact that Logan has not played anyone close to being as good as a Brookhaven or Sheridan, but still much better. I do not see this close.
Logan 35
Chilicothe-0
Chillicothe has flash backs of the physical beating that Sheridan put on them.
Drifter how long "SINSE" you used spellcheck???

Re: Game of Week #4 Chillicothe vs. #1 Logan SEOAL Championship
I believe it will boil down to the defenses of each SEOAL Team. The TO department will play a major factor in this game too, as well as special teams play. The offenses and defenses are loaded on both sides. This game will be a great one to watch and the way Chillicothe has been playing, I think as each week has went by, the CAVS are continuing their success and honing in on mistakes made from the previous week. I like Chillicothe in this one, due to the home field advantage and what is at stake, an SEOAL Championship on their field. The teams from both respected schools have played their hearts out this year, have great players and coaches and will be in the playoffs this season representing their schools and the SEOAL. The Cavalier Team, with the Senior leadership in it's rank and file all ready know about big games and what it takes to come out on top, especially when everybody has counted you out. Those include, Caleb Knights, Jordan Benson, Ron Smith, Alex Grow, James Vanvoorhis to name a few from the Cavalier State Title Basketball Team. This Cavalier Football Program is full of leaders and they have been jelling as a team since the Zanesville game. The leadership stems from The Cavalier Coaching, The Cavalier Players, The Cavalier Volunteers and Cavalier Fans. As each week has passed by, one who is from Chillicothe, that has watched these kids play, know just how far they have come in such a short time. What a great group of kids. And a great group of mentors in the Cavalier Coaching Staff.
As the saying this season goes, "One game at a time CAVS!"
One more game left CAVS to move the ball forward down the field in the SEOAL.
May it be a great game, an injury free played one and one that will be remembered for years to come.
GO Big Blue and White
Refuse to Lose
GO CAVS

For the record, I suspect both Angle AND Knights will win MVP awards........Knights in the South Division and Angle in the North.

Would like to say that I'm a proud parent of a Cavalier football player. Today my son went over to Hocking Hills and in doing so he stopped at the Wendy's in Logan. He was wearing a Cavaliers hoodie and was seen by some Logan football players who approached him. The Logan boy's came to him and introduced themselves and asked if he played football. They hung out and talked about each teams games last night and wished each other good luck on this Friday's game.
I thought this was great. This is how it should be with the kids and the fans and parents need to do the same. GO CAV'S!!!! REFUSE TO .....
I like those kind of posts. That's the kind of board material our kids should be seeing!
Go Chiefs!!!

well, lets get the players together and sing kumbaya. just maybe the players will read this fluff and share plays with the other team just so no ones feelings get hurt. gimme a break. how do you talk about a football game and not predict a score?

Re: Game of Week #4 Chillicothe vs. #1 Logan SEOAL Championship
After reading all these posts and seeing the scoring predictions....
I would like to see a low scoring game..something like 3-0, 7-3, etc.
I think that would be a surprise to both teams because everyone is talking up the offenses and saying the defenses will have "just enough" to get by with a win. The biggest key to the game is special teams. Who has the better field position will determine what the offenses/defenses will try to execute. The second most important thing to the game is whoever plays the best defense. The better defense offsets the offense. (determines the field position, play calling, touchdown vs. field goal attempt). Imo the offense is the last key. If your special teams and defense play well, they make any offense look good because if you have a short field to work with, it gives confidence in the offense that they will put the ball into the endzone every time.
Remember the "high powered" Patriots offense in the Super Bowl last year? The Giants put together a good defensive scheme and held the Patriots to only 14 points. (I know this is the nfl and not high school football, but I'm trying to make a point)
Good luck to both teams

I watched both team's this year and i believe Logan has to much for the Cav's to handle so i"ll have to say the Chief's by a touchdown or more...

I thought the people who raised the kids mentioned did a GREAT job. The kids saw the game as it is, a healthy competition. Not a way to say, "I'm better than you are". I'm glad they represented our community better than some on here.
Kudos!

Very likely the first and only time I'll side with Army on something, but
GO CAVS!
Everybody loves the upset.
But I've got to say, the SEOAL is smart for scheduling this game at the end of the season. This is a dream matchup.

Re: Game of Week #4 Chillicothe vs. #1 Logan SEOAL Championship
I was very impressed with Logan when I watched them last Friday night against Jackson. The overall athleticism of the Logan football team is just unreal. I didn't see Chillicothe in person this season, but I know they're very athletic as well so this should be a pretty good matchup.
Quite possibly SE Ohio's two best QBs leading their teams against one another in a game for the SEOAL title. Wish I could be there to watch this one. In the end, I think Logan will get the win. I'll say 31-17 Chiefs.
Good luck to both teams this week and in Week 11.
