Still gotta learn to hold on to that football !!!!!
Thats going to bite them in the you know what, way to late in the season to be putting the ball on the ground..Overcame the mistakes tonight, but need to get this taken care of.....Nice game tonight....keep fighting..Tigers

Re: IRONTON VS. WARREN WEEK 10. YOUR THOUGHTS.
The only way Ironton wins by three touchdowns is they play the 2nds a lot.

At the TANK, Ironton finally is starting to pass too? At least after watching them on the TV tonight. Look for I-Town to win big.

I DEFINATELY THINK THE TIGERS ARE PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME, BUT NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND. 1 GAME AT A TIME. 1 SCORE AND STOPPED DRIVE AT A TIME.

Re: IRONTON VS. WARREN WEEK 10. YOUR THOUGHTS.
If Ironton can hold on to the ball....and some of our Linemen can learn to hold their blocks....while pass blocking...our team is going to be real hard to beat...I actually saw signs tonight that I haven't seen all season that I was hoping to see that I hadn't and didn't think was going to happen this season.
I saw swikert looking downfield...not at just one reciever...and when he didn't have any open...tucking it in and running...and yes for positive yardage.
I also saw him pitch the ball on the option and not have it fumbled...once out of two times...now we are I think 1 for 3 on the season...
In the Ironton offensive sceem...we have always implemented alot...of the option...our game get's going with the option...hasn't happened this year yet...he really looked more confident running the ball and pitching it.
I was only waiting on the timing for the short passing game to get started...I bet...including the screens...there were 20 or more passes thrown tonight...with 17 completed...somewhere near.
This as I mentioned earlier in the week...would and did open up the run...and it opened up huge holes...all night long...
As long as we can stop the big plays...boys...we have a chance to go a long way this year...maybe even..........
Let me wait to make that statement in a couple of weeks....

Re: WK 10 Ironton vs. Warren
Warren took the opening kick-off 74 yards in 4 minutes and scored against Chilli. Chilli answered by driving down the field and scoring. It was a solid drive, but they didn't dominate Warren. Warren took the kick-off and drove the ball into Chilli territory on their second possession and, on 4th and 1, punted the ball away. Chilli returned the punt for a TD. Sigh. Warren actually took the next kick-off and drove the ball inside Chilli's 10 yard line. Naturally, a holding call put them in a hole. Then, on a passing down the QB was sacked. So, Warren wasn't able to respond. In Warren's first three drives they had solid rushing and passed for over 130 yards. Yup, in three drives. Then the turnovers and mistakes began. Warren then turned the ball over 6 times, giving Chilli GREAT field position 3 of those times and a 96 yard TD return on another. The Chilli sideline was pretty good at shouting out our plays. So we were not really unpredictable. We went to the spread a couple times and the pass protection did not happen. In a game against a team like Chilli a team like Warren (good, but still with a way to go) has to play fundamentally sound football to be competitive. Not perfect, but certainly not the way Warren played last night. Stupid penalties, turnovers, and predictability killed Warren's chances to be respectable.
So, what will it be? If the Warriors get their heads' together they CAN have a respectable game against Ironton. If they can play to their potential they will be competitive. If they make mistakes and turn the ball over and allow the other team to reliably predict their offensive scheme . . . well, it could be another long night.
Ironton is a fine football team. But, they are not Chilli, and they are not Logan. Earn the respect of the league on Friday Warriors.
Play to your potential for a whole game (not just a single drive or single quarter) and see what happens. Frankly, I'd love to see what happens!

Re: WK 10 Ironton vs. Warren
Warren is most certainly capable. We've got a dynamic running O (or we did for awhile), and Ellenwood's coming into his own as a passer. Our O and D lines aren't half bad either.
The potential's there to win the game, but, as Pifer's been known to say:
"Potential means you ain't done crap yet."
GO BLUE!

Re: WK 10 Ironton vs. Warren
The Tiger's line is too big and too talented for Warren to stay with they for very long, on both sides of the football.

Re: WK 10 Ironton vs. Warren
i looked at the regions. ny , was not hurt hardly at all with this loss. but would have got a ton of points had they won. apparently ironton did not move up. but have clinched a playoff game to this point. but not yet a home game.
Re: WK 10 Ironton vs. Warren
Is Division 4 playoffs on Friday this year ? And If Ironton has allready clinched a spot, will it be at Home ?
