No offense to the SEOAL, but why would Sheridan want out of the MVL for it? They have about the exact same make-up, some d-4's, d-3's & d-2's. Sorry Ironton, but Logan is about the only consistent team year in and year out that it's in the play-offs. The only league i would think they would move to(and that's only if the MVL broke up) would be the MSL and that's just because it's the closest one to them. There are always rumors about teams leaving leagues. In the summer it was Crooksville going to the TVC( ) and Tri-Valley going to the ECOL. Thery were both given invitations and they both denied them.

The MVL and SEOAL are two very good leagues with very good histories.

Now for this game. It will be a very good game game, I do see Sheridan winning though. Now Ironton, don't get your hopes up because New Lex is very, very good, scary quick and has an amazing defense. But, this Sheridan team is just that good, they are one of Culvers best imo. They could be the d-3 champs this year but we will see.

Actually the talk about the MVL has always been about making it even stronger. I heard some folks from Zanesville discussing there had been another meeting about Zanesville going to the MVL. This seems to be pretty solid gossip anyway. Also said Cambridge was going to the MVL, who knows? MVL very good with Sheridan, Tri Valley, New Lexington, John Glenn at the top. Philo, and Crooksville solid, real tuff kids and can play in the middle of the pack. I would love to see the Sheridan Logan scrimmage game become a real game, the opener. I think this is going to be a great game, but Sheridan with just too much.

That Culver is a master at strategy. I mean, he starts out the first 4-5 games just lining up and running over people. Basics, good blocking, tackling ect. As the season go's on, the reverses, screens, passing, comes into play. And by the time he is at the last few games, with the meat of his schedule, they are running on all cylinders. We were watching some tapes of the past several weeks at my brothers of Sheridan, and it is unreal how this guy builds every week. They are now not only running all over good teams but throwing the ball alot. Good QB and very good receivers now coming into play. This is a team with alot of talent and are so much better than they even were the first 5 weeks. They are scary good. Good luck New Lex, if anyone can knock them off, you guys can with that huge heart and tuffness. I just can not see it happenning unless Sheridan shoots itself in the foot. Man I wish this game was on Saturday.

The talk has always been(since river view left) whether to bring one team in for a 10 team league or bring 3 for a 12 team and split into divisons.

A couple of years ago the talk was bringing in Lakewood, Zanesville and Rosecrans and going to a big school and little school division .

John Glenn in the small division? Looks like it would be good. I think Rosecrans and Lakewood would get beat half to death every year in the MVL, can not see that at all. I like the Zanesvile, Cambridge discussion. Both schools very good in other sports. I can not see either beating a Sheridan, Tri Valley, New Lexington in football in the near future, would proboly be somewhere in the middle.

Is there a more meaniful region or exciting region in reg. 12 that it seems like everybody is playing a "game of the year". Thornville#1 in reg. 12 vs. New Lex #2 in Reg. 15, Logan Elm #2 in reg. 12 vs. Canal Winchester #4 in reg. 12, oh by the way the first four teams I mentioned here are 9-0. Lets go on, #3 Chillicothein reg. 12, 7-2 vs. #3 Logan in Reg. 7 and they are 9-0 also there is #5 Valley Veiw in reg. 12,7-2 vs. Brookeville #3 in reg. 16 and 9-0. WOW!!!!!!!!!! 6 teams are 9-0 and two are 7-2. Region 12 it seems to me is one bad boy region.. GOOD LUCK to all teams. I wish I could be at every game.

Rosecrans and Lakewood would not fill well in the MVL.... It sounds to me that the Zanesville people are trying to find a way for the MVL to benefit them.... not the MVL benefitting from Zanesville joining.....

Just heard the final on radio. Sheridan 7 New Lexington 0. They said Sheridan had 8 turnovers, weather was really bad.

Sheridan was crowned MVL Champs and AP Poll State Champs
