IF Wellston plays like they did at Meigs they couldnt beat anyone. Wellston has played much better football all year compared to last season .They sure laid a egg friday night. Nothing against Meigs they have a decent team but Wellston made them look like a state title contender.
Rockets lets bounce back and play like you have the previous 8 games and end the season on a winning note

For my preview this week, can anyone from Alexander tell me the last time they had at least a .500 season? I know they were 4-6 in 1999 and I believe that was their best record before the present 4-5 mark.

Should be a pretty good game.

I'm taking the Rockets (I just think that they have more weapons and more ways of hurting you with Lockard, Prater, Mateson and Company).

Alexanders Sophomores are pretty tough, but I am very impressed with how far Wellston has come since last season.

I think 1995 was the last that I can recall, either 6-4 or 7-3 Boston's last year as coach.Someone can correct me if wrong. 8)

Early post this week since I'll be out of town for the game.

This is a good matchup of two teams that can play hard when they're prepared and when they're fired up. This should be a great hard hitting game. Throw the records out the window on this one. Wellston looks to avenge last year's loss in OT and will play tough at home. Alexander will be shooting for win 5 and that .500 W-L mark on the season.

Alexander: Wellston has several weapons and a lot of pride, so make sure you're ready to play 4 quarters on both sides of the ball. If you take even one play off, Wellston will definitely take advantage and make you pay for it.

Wellston: This is an Alexander team that isn't afraid to hit, so don't overlook this team. Not many seniors at Alex this year, but this game is not an automatic W.

All respect to Boilermaker and Wellston, I'm giving Coach Arno's Spartans the edge in a close game.

Good luck to both teams and have a GREAT game.

well, i listened to that vc and alex game on the radio. i picked alex to win but vc really hung in there (the score didn't show the effort of the vc boys). im afraid im goin to have to go with wellston on this one. i seen them play jackson, and even though the game ended badly, i could see the potential on that team and i figured they would end up with a decent season. and if alex plays like they did against vc, we will have a game on our hands.

I want to see hawkeye and ollie go at it again, where are they at??? That was getting interesting.

wellston - 28
alex - 21

I will take the Spartans in a close one, I think they have been playing ball and can pull off another BIG win this Season.

Hope both teams stay injury free.

Pulling for the Spartans in this one. I haven't seen the Rockets in person this year, but I know they played the Bucks tough. Not sure Alexander can pull it off but I like they direction the program seems to be headed in with Coach Arno.

The Spartans are improving for sure, but on the road at Wellston ( another team making big strides) , the Rockets may just have way too many weapons and too much size up front.

Good Luck Spartans.
