Re: WK 10 Western Brown @ Portsmouth
As I have said quite a few times this year, I would love to see what the Trojans could do if they played 4 good quarters of football............Portsmouth has played a tougher schedule than Western Brown, but I will give credit to anybody who is undefeated at this point in the season.
No turnovers and a minimum of penalties........and we could be in this game by the 4th quarter.........
I will be there to cheer on the Red and Blue.........GO TROJANS!!!

Show me one post where I ragged on EAST. I support East just as much as I do Portsmouth. I hope East wins the State, and will be there cheering for them if they make it, or however far they make it.
Wonder why? Then everybody rags on East when they go 10-0 or 9-1 about their schedule! Just seems to be no love for the smaller schools when they achieve the same goals!

Looks like it could be a weekend at spartan this week with seeing Western Brown travel there to play Portsmouth and the to watch the Tartans of East High School travel to play Notre Dame.

Really thought Portsmouth would have a solid season despite being so young. I never dreamed that they would have only one win going into the last week of the season. I'll have to take Western Brown in this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a close game.
Portsmouth will be much better the next couple years in my opinion.

Personally I don't think any team on Western Browns schedule could compete with West, Burg, or any team in the SEOAL......so Portsmouth has to have an edge in that they have seen much tougher ALL YEAR LONG than what Brown has.........BUT.....gotta agree with Ozzie, if you are 9-0 you have to be doing a few things right. If the Trojans come out with their A game, I think they can stay in this one and make it interesting! Best of luck Trojans from Chillicothe!!!!

Glad to get the season of misery over this year......congrats to the kids who gave 100% all year.........we need to get all 11 on both sides of the ball working hard on every play and that didn't happen this year.....hopefully, by next year, we can look back at all the mistakes and be a better team!

Wasn't sure why anyone thought a Div IV 1-8 team would compete with a Div II 9-0 team. Good luck to Portsmouth next year. This year is over - work hard and get things turned around next year. It can be done.

Re: WK 10 Western Brown @ Portsmouth
Congratulations to the Western Brown Broncos on the win......and best wishes in the playoffs........
The Broncos were clearly the better team......I thought going in that the Trojans could possibly compete with WB but that was not the case........WB ran the ball well, and their 2 passes for TD's showed they can put the ball in the air also with good results.
Overall, the defense played better than average for most of the season, but did not the last couple of games. Offensively, we simply had a difficult time scoring.......I think we had only 2 games where we scored more than 2 TD's.......South Point and Jackson.
Next year will be better for our Trojans, but the main concerns I have are:
1. Better offensive line play
2. Defensively containing the speed of other teams on the perimeter
3. Improved special teams play
If Portsmouth can improve those 3 things, I think they will be a football team that can get back over .500. I think we have enough skill players to make plays on both sides of the ball.
TO OUR KIDS, ALWAYS REMEMBER.........YOU ARE TROJANS, OUR TROJANS!!!
GO TROJANS!!!
