Portsmouth West @ Waverly 12-20

Post by Cameron34Crazie34 »

Thoughts?

Hope to see West come out and continue to execute on offense and keep playing solid defense. Keep it close and be there to pick up a W in the 4th.

Go Siders!

West needs to slow down Jake Kretzer, im not saying shut down, because thats close to impossible. He is a D1 basketball player but he dont have much around him, 45-41 WEST

Waverly not overlooking the Senators. Look for the Tigers to come out hungry after a disappointing showing at the convo Saturday.

West is coming off a big win against Burg. Let's see if they can transfer that momentum into this game and execute perfectly. All they have to do is hit their shots and they could win this thing. Not gonna be too upset about a loss though.

I guess the same could be said about Waverly. Hit your shots and FT's and it won't be close. 7 for 24 and 9 for 26 from the line won't get it done most nights. It did at Minford but bit the Tigers at the convo against a good Warren squad.

25-9 Waverly at half. First quarter had Waverly leading 15-0 and Kretzer with all their points. Kretzer scored 4 in the second to lead all scorers with 19 at half.

Waverly with allot of subbing keeping everyone fresh. Waverly with a big third period (21) to lead 46-21, Kretzer with 7, White 6, Kelly 5 and Hart 3 for the frame. Tigers win 59-29. Kretzer with 3 slam dunks the last one a massive slam on an ally-oop.

Kretzer with 31, White 9, Hart 7, Kelly 5, Heibel 5, Davis 2
Tigers were 3 for 12 from the line.

Travis lead West with 9, Carnes 4, Hafer 4, Bolton 4, Kenyon 3, Davis 3, Frye 2
West was 3 for 4 from the line
