C'mon people... let's not resort to calling EEECH other out on spelling. Just re-read this post from top to bottom... we're all at fault. This is a message board, not a grammar class. By the way, did southernohiosportsphotos.com make it out to take photos?

Everyone nows that OVC does not reconize C-team but I my opion that should change. Who really wants their 2nd grade hitting with 4th graders. At Coal Grove the "C-Team" has practice by themselves and games just for them. They even had a tourney just for "C-team". Yes on saturdays they do sometimes get to play and that is great. But yes everyone nows there is not a " C-team" which is crazy. 1214 u du a fyne job at typin

With that said, you still had atleast 23 kids on the sidelines. Why weren't you guys made to split like Rock Hill was???
Re: hornets@bills
Coal grove has 13-14 B-team kids
16-17 Cteam kids( most of these kids r not ready for B-team but 2 big for flag)
Ovc did not make RH split that was ur league that did that.

im not a facts guy . iwas just making a point that you are known to run your mouth. and the fight at the practice field THREE years ago proves my point.
i didnt see a no huddle offence just that you wasnt ready on D.
(Now that is a setting a good example)
Scott there was no fight like I said you may want to check your sources.

I know it was our leauge that made us split.....I was just being sarcastic
I'm just sayin, most teams had a c team to put in at the end of a game and then the coaches would yell at us if we didnt put our c team in......WE DIDNT HAVE ANYONE ELSE!!!!!!! There was one instance when my little 3rd grader hit one of the c teamers on another team ( I'm not mentioning names) and really put a hurtin on him. He layed there for a bit and finally the other coach yelled at our and said, "What are you gonna do???? Let your B team beat up on our c team???" Well....first we had no one else and second my little b team guy only weights 72 lbs soaking wet. But yeah, he packs a punch. It's not his fault we had no one else.!!!
Poor boys.....they are just out there for the game and someone always has to ruin it......
Re: hornets@bills
The game should be all about the kids not the coaches , parents or anyone else. If ur not there for the kids then u should not be there at all.
I would like to say one more thing then I'm done: Thanks to all the guys that coached C-team at CG. You all did a great job with these lil guys. Dolen, Case, Rowe , Crabtree and the rest of u guys should be proud of urselves. The kids learned alot but also had a great time.

Maybe they should.I'm just stating the facts they don't, Ironton plays their 2nd graders on Saturday's,or at least they should be.And I will say there were years that some teams(Oak Hill,S.Valley) that didn't have hardly enought to play much less have a second team.I'm not trying to argue, because there is no argument.

the coal grove coaches wouldnt do that dont back away from the truthBillsBcoach wrote:littlehornetsfan1214 wrote:grovefan wrote:I watched that guy he should be ashamed of himself. mainly because what we teach kids is to look up to your coaches. and that guy did not do the kids right. after what he done i seen the kids even change their attidude
i agree 100%
i think someone last year or the year before actually beat this guy up during a practice at ironton last year for downgrading 1 of there players.....
1st off get your story straight littlehornetsfan about what happened at Ironton three years ago. I was the won that was involved in what you guys are saying that I called your coach out. Let me represent myself. I in no way shape or form called anyone out. What I did do is tell both coaches that was crap what was going on. Running no huddle and passing with under 2 minutes left on the clock up by three touchdowns. Then one of the coaches told me to get back in my huddle or he was going to break my f ing jaw. So there you go for role models at coal grove. Teach your kids to run it up on people and break peoples jaw if they don't agree. I mean what are you really teaching your kids at that point. Coal grove played an awesome game that is fine WIN with class and resprect. Take a knee in victory formation pour gatorade all over the coach. That is what is supposed to happen. Not running no huddle and throwing wheel routes under two minutes to go in the game keep in mind up by three touchdowns.

Re: hornets@bills
2nd graders have no business on that field come Saturday. They have their own games through the week. Saturdays should be 3&4 Bteam and 5&6 Ateam...Period. It's bad enough we start these boys so young anyway. No since taking a chance getting one of them really hurt. And besides, for the C team no to be "recognized" they sure get a lot of attention. And no, I dont have anything against C team. I have been through all of that.....going to the games to watch my little guys just sit there. Yeah, that was a good time for all!!

Re: hornets@bills
im sayin, that everyone had enough to make a c-team this year in the ovc,why not give them something to play for.
Re: hornets@bills
2nd graders should not be playing tackle football period. JMO, but that is too young.

Re: hornets@bills
Well in our situation we actually didn't have a true c team after half of the year because a couple of kids quit because of grades or other reasons. This is the first year that I actually had enough 4th graders to fill the whole team. With that being said 2 years ago the IB had 6 or 7 2nd graders that started b team ball. Well needless to say we took our beatings but these are the same kids that were in the superbowl this year. Split teams will feel the pain on this c-team thing. I am not saying it is right or wrong but if you don't have the luxury of all the 4th graders for one team you would have to use your 2nd and 3rd graders. Rock Hill felt the pain a little this year. If they decide to stay split which I think is an excellent idea for Rock Hill and their program. It would be very hard for this league to have a true c-team league. Another problem that you have is what is defined by c-team because almost every year to make a c-team the IB & IE has to use several third graders and maybe a couple of those guys actually play on saturday. Next year I think the returning # for the IB is less than 10 so a c-team is probably out for them next year.
