No, I believe it was proven that most had already been shot by this idiot before the fire got to them.

To get the whole story right it wasn't the FBI it was the A.T.F. that stormed the compund in Wacko Texas. The fire was caused by a CS grenade or "tear gas" for you non tactical types. It was thrown into an area that it would not burn into the house but was picked up and thrown into another room by a Branch Davidian where it landed against a curtain and caught fire. When the teams were trying to make entry they were getting shot all to pieces, so it's not like the fire department could have just walked up there and put out the fire. Just atad of history... Oh yeah and go West!!!

Thanks for clearing that up, but my point is that someone with that idiot as his avatar trying to preach morality on a web site is just a little ironic, don't you think.

I mean come on, this guy was a wack job.

BIOGRAPHY:
David Koresh
David Koresh was born Vernon Wayne Howell in Houston, Texas in 1959 to a 15-year old single mother. He never knew his father and was raised by his grandparents.
In his late night conversations with FBI agents during the siege, Koresh described his childhood as lonely. He said the other kids teased him and called him "Vernie." He was dyslexic, a bad student, and dropped out of high school. However, he had musical ability and a strong interest in the Bible. By 12, he had memorized large tracts of it.
When he was 20, Koresh turned to the Church of Seventh Day Adventists, his mother's church. But he was expelled for being a bad influence on the young people. Sometime during the next couple of years, Koresh went to Hollywood to become a rock star but nothing came of it. Instead, in 1981 he went to Waco, Texas where he joined the Branch Davidians, a religious sect which in 1935 had settled 10 miles outside of Waco. At one time, it had more than 1,400 members.
Koresh had an affair with then-prophetess Lois Roden who was in her late sixties. The two travelled to Israel together. When Lois Roden died, a power struggle began between Koresh and Lois Roden's son George. For a short time, Koresh retreated with his followers to eastern Texas. But in late 1987 he returned to Mount Carmel in camouflage with seven male followers, armed with five .223 caliber semiautomatic assault rifles, two .22 caliber rifles, two 12-gauge shotguns and nearly 400 rounds of ammunition. During the gunfight, Roden was shot in the chest and hands.
He and his followers went on trial for attempted murder. The seven were acquitted and a mistrial was declared in Koresh's case. (Koresh told the jury he and his men went to Mount Carmel to find evidence of corpse abuse by Roden and their shots were aimed at a tree.)
By 1990 Koresh had become the leader of the Branch Davidians and legally changed his name, saying on the court document that the change was "for publicity and business purposes." He said the switch arose from his belief that he was now head of the biblical House of David. (Koresh is a Hebrew transliteration of Cyrus, the name of the Persian king who allowed the Jews held captive in Babylon to return to Israel.)

I don't know how we could get rid of her, but I guarantee if names on a petition or something like that would work, numbers would not be a problem.

She doesn't care about sports at all. She wouldn't even make an effort to keep Kitchen as B-Ball coach and he was the best basketball coach here that I ever saw. He started mid-season and made them competitive when all the others wanted to quit. He wanted to stay, he just needed a job or a promise of a job if it opened. She didn't care.

A friend of mine told me last year after Minford beat us in football, that he and his son who was a freshman on the team went to eat at Pizza Hut. She was in there with some administrators from Minford laughing at how they beat us. He got up and left. I can't stand the woman.

that has to be disappointing to anyone who has anything to do with the game. school spirit leads to take pride in things you do including grades if you didnt have them then you couldnt cheer or play ball they achieved what they needed to in this high school. i bet these peoples homes have bare walls all the way thru

Hopefully she will alow the kids to celebrate this week and decorate the school and the field and enjoy their playoff experience. The school spirt is a big fatcor in keeping everyone pumped up about the game and the task at hand. If she tries to negate any of this then the parents need to to go to the school board and complain. I know academics come first, as they should, but high school sports is a huge part of almost everyone in this areas life and should be treated with the respect it deserves.

Not only does it teach sportsmanship, comradery, and teamwork, it also helps to improve self esteem and it helps to keep kids out of trouble by giving them an outlet to blow of steam. It also promotes pride in ones self, ones school, and ones community. If she can't see all of that the the people of West Portsmouth need to vote her out in the next election.

Good luck to the Senators. Beat Ridgewood!!!!!

Has West ever "hosted" a playoff? 02 Team was on the road I believe? 1990 Team, which I am proud to have played a major role in keeping that 10-0 record for 18 years, played host to Ironton in Spartan stadium and yes I remember the outcome don't remind me...... Second thing. The thing that urkes me the most about the West Admin. Let me play Mr. Obvious with what everyone else has already said about decorations and such. Third, why doesn't West put more kids in college playing Football? And the answer is...ding ding.... they don't work at it. They are notorious for not helping the kids. It is not due to grades. I guess it is to much effort to make some phone calls for the kids, and bring them in their office to give them a counseling session. It starts at the top ladies and gentlemen. Why would you shy your kids away from something so great as High schoold football and all the activities that go with it? Does the administration really not like the "couple" of dollars that football brings in?

I am pretty sure this may the FIRST playoff game West has ever hosted. If anyone has any different information let me know. Too bad we can't vote HER out, she is just superintendant and that is not an elected position, but we can vote out all of her "puppets!"

Go West, stand strong and stand up tp your administration and tell them that the prison is in Lucasville and this is high school. Taking away all of the things I have read seems to be ridiculous, sports and extra curricular activities is a great part of high school and in some ways teaches as much as the classroom. If these things that were posted are untrue than I apoligise for the post.
