Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
This is a team that lost 13 seniors and two transfers that were very good. They have 4 seniors and 5 juniors --playing the last few games with only 4 juniors. They will at worst have the exact same regular season as their loaded team from a year ago. Do they have heart --- 100% absolutely You Betcha!. A great group of kids!
This team has beat all of my expectations and then some. It feels awesome to be playing in this type of game and I truly believe we are very, very, capable of winning this game. We are beat up but so is everyone else so it will be a tough game against a tough and good team ---- but they are defintely beatable.
Best of luck to both teams. May this game be played hard but with the utmost sportsmanship and may it be supported by the fans of both sides with the same respect.
As for the old thread being gone ---- it should have been removed very early.
Anyone with absolutely any common sense and respect for both teams players and communities alike know what I mean.
peace out!

I agree with dirt cinders. These young boys have worked hard and never give up. Even when the odds are against them, they continue to fight and hang in there. Its a shame that adults have to criticize these young boys that play their hearts out. These are some of the nicest boys youll ever meet and I for one am very proud of each and every one of them. GO ND!!!!

My guess is he wouldn't have stereotyped an entire community based on actions of a few at sporting events; he wouldn't have desecrated the words of the late Fr. Wm. Patterson; and he'd have taken the high road long before this.

Then based on the above statement; it appears that both sides should be drinking from the same medicine bottle! Instead of labeling the entire Sciotoville Community as a group of undesireable people! Now, I'm sure Patterson would have rather that road be taken; as would Jesus too!

I think the score will be alot closer then people think. If East jumps out early then I would hope Coach Hall will rest the starters for the playoffs and prevent injuries.

I don't know what happened on the last thread, but from the sounds of it, I am glad I don't know. I think that everyone who knows SOC football knows this is a great rivalry that goes back a long way. I hope that this year's game will continue that tradition. I have watched most of ND's games this year, and have been impressed with the intensity that they play with this year. I have not seen East yet, but I know they have a very good team. Good luck to both teams. Congratulations on very good seasons. Notre Dame: let's win one more SOC game this year and get a share of the title!! Instead of doing a lot of talking, let your play speak for you. Play hard so that the final score can be your final statement.

That's a good question! I will research and find out what I can. I do believe that ND holds the advantage still though! But, that is a good question!

Good luck to my alma mater (East) tonight. You have the chance to bring home your 3rd SOC in a row. Another feat in the history of East football, as well as to make the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row, which I believe would also be a first.
This is also the 25th (1983) and 45th (1963) anniversaries of East SOC championships.

Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
It's game day folks, the rain is gone the field is still a damp from last nights rain and game played by Portsmouth and Western Brown. Their is a chill in the air, in a few hours the Tartan team will be traveling to the school to meet with coaches and get on the bus, while Notre Dame does the same. The difference is the Tartans see history in the making a three peet SOC I outright title in their grasp and second straight trip to the playoff with a home game if they win. East comes out fired up and takes it to the Titans.
Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
This game won't be a game. Over by half time. East by a bunch.
