How much speed does ironton really have? I mean, I know everybody thinks they are fast, and you guys are very big, but how many gamebreakers do you really have? The soft zone D I have been reading about tells me that there must not be too many fast guys in the secondary. I remember a #7 two years ago and he had very good speed. Anybody close to that this year?

We got some gamebreakers plus a QB with a cannon of an arm. We have been playing that defense for 30 plus years now. It doesnt matter what speed we got or dont have we play that same D.

Its a lot more vicious about this game over on the puddle.

If it's true that Ironton is slow, has no pass defense, and is one-dimensional on offense, then I'd have to say Westfall will win this game easily.

However, I think the Fighting Tigers will "show up" anyway and we'll see what happens.

I know this has nothing to do with what will actually happen at Tank Stadium tomorrow night, but here's what i think.

When we played Logan, many people would agree that Patrick Angle(i think thats right) was very skilled at both throwing, and running, as many peope say about Westfalls Q.B. , but if he isnt even close to as good as Angle, how might they plan on gettin 40 on Ironton?

Also, if the plan of spreading out Ironton goes into affect tomorrow, scoring under 40 is big for westfall because i expect ironton Offense to thump it to westfall's D.

I can't see westfalls qb having anywhere near the day that Logan's qb had...for many reason's...

a. Logan had a great offensive line...which was never winded...they only play one way....we never got pressure on
them...he had all day to throw the ball that night.
b. Logan had awesome wideouts...can't see a div 4 school competing with that much talent...esp..losing two games
to not so great teams.
c. Ironton's team has gotten better every game...that includes the line and backs...I saw brice make a couple of
plays last week that really impressed me...something I hadn't seen from him all season.

Ironton will definately have to hold onto the ball tonight...which shouldn't be a problem...everyone has trouble in the rain...and the kids have done much better at holding onto the ball later in the season...they are running it much harder through the lineand hitting the holes good...that normally helps...I think the tigers are going to suprise some people this week with the score...I see it Ironton 42 westfall 7....maybe worse....

I am taking Ironton in this one BIG and a start to a long Playoff run....I look at the record of Ironton and it is very decieving. I mean the lost a couple of games that if they played that team 10 times they would win 9 each. Ironton needs to put the record behind them and go out there and play tiger football. I have said since the begining of the season that they would make it deep into the playoffs....very good football team....good luck tigers...

Its finally time for this game. The Ironton offense I think is starting to come around at the right time. They started out slow, but have finally hit their stride at the right time. As has been the key for the Tigers all season if they hold onto the ball we win. We got the athletes to combat the speed of Westfall and our long drives should help by keeping their offense off the field. Plus if need be we got a quick strike capability. This will be a great game, but the Tigers got enough to pull it out.
