What the hell are you talking about? I have shown nothing but respect to your Senators since they beat the Pirates and said numerous times they were the better team. If the Pirates had won I wouldn't be saying anything much different. Evidently you don't know me.

Good luck to the Senators.

At least I have enough respect for them to call them by their correct name.

Ridgewood is gonna be the biggest and most physical team that west has seen all year... they are an experienced team with a few good backs.

Ridgewood 21
West 14

Looks like to me that any team that is anywhere near good has beaten the snot out of them...I feel that west and burg both will win the first round...just can't wait to see round 2 if they get together again...what a matchup...at spartan stadium...wouldn't that be great....all of ironton will be there....West 42 ridgewood.....0

roy,
How do you know that Woodridge is the most physical team that West has faced? I don't know anything about Woodridge, but the "Sider" team I've known will always hit you until the game is over. I also know that every team is is good or they would have turned their stuff in last friday night. This will be a good close ballgame, but I think West will pound the "D" line all night and the 4th will tale the story.

TIGERS89, first off if West and the Burg do meet up again it will be in round 3 for the regional title and not in week 12. Secondly, I hope to God that if they do meet it's not at Spartan Stadium and that the OHSAA let's this game be played at either Jackson or Valley.

burggrad,
I think if both win they will play each other. OHSAA will pick the closest two teams to play in round 2. I have looked back and see where they change for shorter trips. Then again we are against the river, lol.

I don't think they do that anymore. The brackets are set for the regionals and they only reseed once you get to the semis. Burg will play the winner on NY and LU if they win and West will play the winner of Ready and Johnstown. I'd say one of these games will be played at Lancaster and the other probably at Jackson.

Here's a link to the brackets.

Valley would be a great place. Plenty of stands and standing room. also no parking problem. equal driving for both. and the turf wouldn't be an issue with weather.

I'll vouch for Burg_Grad_77, class act all the way. I consider BG77 and Bama good friends from back in our Pickem days on the Puddle. But one thing...I graduated a SIDER...I hate the word Senator. Senators are such vile creatures in real life...I mean they steal, pillage and destory all in the name of politics. Not the kinda thing I'd want my kids called. LOL

I'm all for playing at Valley. Excellent location, very nice facilities.

If West and Burg should both win in the first round, they will NOT play in the second round!!! West will play the winner of Johnstown and Bishop Ready and the game will most likely be at Lancaster. Then if they make it to the third round and so does Burg, the two powerhouses would collide again. The only time OHSAA matches teams up is the Final Four teams in each division. So hopefully if Burg and West do meet again the winner will NOT be paired against Ursuline, although the respect the southern ohio gets up north is NONE so they probably will get that draw. West ruined their plans in 02 so hopefully they can do it again.

Good Luck to SOC II teams, REPRESENT!!!

Thanks Rebel and right back at you. You are definitely a class act yourself and a great guy, even if you are a SIDER. lol

Why hasn't West tried to officially change their name to The Siders?

Good luck to your Senators/Siders. Hopefully we'll see each other again for the regional title.

Im a sider fan and never say much on here but im telling all u people out their that think we will steamroll these guys are in for a rude awakening. This team if i remember correctly was beaten by Wheelersburg last yr at the burg 21-13 i believe with this same group of kids. If west takes them lightly and think they can just show up and when this game then trust me we will be the 1st number 1 seed sitting at the house come week 2. So i will just make a suggestion to those already looking at sites for week 2 u better worry about this game first. Thats always been the problem with west side people and again im one of them but instead of talking about this week they not all but some want to worry about next week. Thats why u hardly ever hear anyone from the burg or from ironton ever talking a game a week or 2 away, they play them 1 at a time. The difference between west and those 2 specific programs is they are used to doing this year in and year out where as west and every now and then an east or minford get in. Thank god for the teams down here that represent us year in and year out because west noe anyone else does it that often, so sorry for rambling but had alot built up inside that needed to be said by a westside alumni who just keeps it real so on that note good luck to all the area teams and like i said west just worry about ridgewood they r a very good team.
