Well, that was no disrespect intended to Scioto. The point is that Jerome, when healthy and not turning the football over, can move the football on people. It will be important for the purple and white to take advantage of mistakes and execute on offense.

Oh no worries bud. I didnt take it that way. FWIW my son may be at Scioto, but we still love Logan. I am hoping to get back next summer to bring back the golf outing. Anyway, I didnt take it as a knock, I was simply stating yeah their offense may be decent but their defense gave up 41 points vs Scioto regardless of the stats.

I'm still going with Logan,35-20.

Logan's opponents combined record 53-47
Jerome's opponents combined record 45-55

I'd say Logan's schedule was better.

But if you look at Jeromes schedule they played all D1 and D2 schools while Logan played 2 D3 and 2 D4 schools, so I would still give that edge to Dublin.

Having said that though, I'm still pulling for Logan and think they come out the winner in this matchup.

And I again I say so what??? One of the teams they played went 0-10. D1, D3 or D6; 0-10 is 0-10. I dont really think it matters if they are playing schools in D1 or not. Its more important to me on how they finished. If they played 10 teams in the CCL or from Cleveland thats one thing, but they played several schools who didnt amount to diddly poo regardless of what division they were in. Jerome also lost to teams that finished 5-5 or worse.

I know where your heart lies ;)

If you need any help I would be glad to do what I can. I missed not having the outing this summer.

Easy there junior. I'm on your side. I think Logan wins this game, I just think Jerome played a tougher schedule. I know they played a lot of teams with losing records, but if you look at the opponents those teams played you see that most of them had great seasons.

Reynoldsburg (2-8) - played 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Hilliard Darby (6-4) - played 5 teams with 5-5 or above records
Groveport-Madison (4-6) - played 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Westerville North (2-8) - played 9 teams with 5-5 or above records
Olentangy Liberty (7-3) - played 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Westerville South (5-5) - played 8 teams with 5-5 or above records
Olentangy (7-3) - played 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Marysville (7-3) - played 6 teams with 5-5 or above records
Dublin Scioto (5-5) - played 8 teams with 5-5 or above records
Westerville Central (0-10) - played 9 teams with 5-5 or above records

As you can see the teams that Jerome played also played some very tough competition.

Anyone who gets in with a 6-4 record has beaten some pretty good teams. With the points they have they would have made the playoffs in every region. They play schools the size of Logan every week. I dont think they will be suprised by Logan's size or athletic ablilty as some teams are around here. Logan needs to bring their "A" game on friday to get a victory. Time to step it up for Southeastern Ohio! Good luck to Logan.

Someone wrote that the records are now 0-0. The season is done and over with. Now it is time to sort the grain from the chaf. Either team has the capability to come out on top now. One can try to compare schedules, strength or weakness of these and that is all well and good. The bottom line here is the young men who have busted their collective behinds and proven they deserve to be in the position they are in right this moment.
The nice thing about a forum like this is that we all can guestimate, evaluate, whatever and it is fun. Here's hoping that the gentlemen that put on the pads and go out there friday night leave it all on the field and the fans in the stands appreciate their efforts and appluad both teams they made it and deserve their respective fan base's loud and proud support. I will be rooting for the SEOAL to carry on to the next level. To both teams I would say "Don't Be Tense, Be Intense."

As for Logan

Lancaster 5 teams with 5-5 or above records
Pickerington North 4 teams with 5-5 or above records
Hamilton Twp 5 teams with 5-5 or above records
Gallia Academy 6 teams with 5-5 or above records
Ironton 8 teams with 5-5 or above records
Zanesville 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Marietta 7 teams with 5-5 or above records
Warren 6 teams with 5-5 or above records
Jackson 5 teams with 5-5 or above records
Chilly 8 teams with 5-5 or above records

BUT Jerome lost to a 6-4 Hilliard Darby (5)
lost to a 4-6 Groveport (7)
lost 5-5 Westerville South (8)
lost to a 5-5 Dublin Scioto (8)

Of the teams Jerome lost to, 17 of the opponent wins they had out the 20 wins were against teams with records of 6-4 or worse. So the majority of the teams they lost to were not beating teams with winning records.

The bottom line is Logan went 10-0 and Jerome lost to 4 teams who's majority of combined record of wins were against teams that didnt finish any better than 6-4.

87chief -

I'm about done gathering info. It will of course all be in the Logan Daily (and Loganfootball.com) tomorrow, as well as a lot of it posted on here.

They are very balanced on offense and average 343 total yards per game.

Defensively, they have been stingy against the pass and allow 331 total yardsyards per game.
