A player from 4th did play but only in this tourney not the OVC season just 2 clear this up before it gets started. also to all parents from any school please do not mention players names or numbers just out of respect for the boys it is not the kids fault what the parents or coaches make them do.

I would like to have that young man to play for our a team!I watched him play in several games, and i think he could handle anything that you throw at him. After all folks the a-b team coaches did lead these two teams to an undefeated record in league play, and both teams won the super bowl!I've coached against, and became friends with both head coaches at the grove, and I can tell you that I have nothing but respect for both coaches. These men would never do the kids on their team wrong intentionally.

The only question that i would ask;would this be a problem if the score had been different? My opinion is that nothing would have ever been said about this young man playing if it would have turned out a little different!JMO

just to clear things up a bit coach waulk did not plan on playing over there sat. he made that decision based on the officiating that happened in the orange bowl. we had the same garbage in the orange bowl with the same officials 15-1 penalties. we the a team wanted to play russell again. tried to get them to play in ohio but they could not find an open date. nothing against russell or their coaches, they are a good team, good character kids, but plain and simple the officials are pathetic and I dont believe our kids or any other kids should be treated that way; they know whats going on out there. we are not in the habit of complaining about officials but if looks like crap and smells like crap it is crap. I dont think you will see CG playing in that place for awhile. russell is a good team and i think we could play a very good game with them. as far as the 4 grader goes, he wanted to play with us and his cousin all year and he came, with tha intention of playing with the second group in the 4 quarter we wanted to get them in regardless of the score. he got in early and played more than he was supposed to. I will take the the blame if you want to gripe. we set a goal at the start of the year to win the super bowl and we got what we came after. so if have to find something so bad to complain about, have at it. A team..... who loves you; stay together you got something special going on. I would like to thank every one of you for your effort. you are a group of great young men.Parents I also want to thank you for your time, trust and the opportunity to teach your kids about the game and hopefully more. great kids and great parents..... thank you.

my opinion.... a B-team player should have never been on the field when you have A-team kids sitting out. It is for the kids right? The B-team coach wouldn't intentionally hurt a kid just maybe leave them out :122246 :122246 :122246

As my opinion i like mission but he got beat and he just trys to stir crap because thats the way he is when he loses. He would of done the same thing as we done because he cares about kids. The kids got cheated i dont care about anything else just dont cheat the kids. The refs that were there that can go to sleep at night for cheating kids is a real bad person. We had a good season and im proud of all the kids and parents and coaches. Go Grove dont read the bullcrap you guys done a great job and never lost a game all year in are league and won the superbowl that was are goal all year so that is all that matters.

By walking off the field doesn,t teach our kids nothing but to be quitters. That wasn,t even the coaches team that got booted after he yelled out a few choice curse words at the refs in front of all our boys and others. Thats not showing or teaching any kid character or how to act on the feild or in life. Yes the refs were terrible but he should have let the a team coaches handle it not a b team coach. That is something that no one will ever foreget about that coach.

GROVEFAN,i DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT GIVE THE KIDS RESPECT!DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF HIDING IF YOU WANT TO TALK CRAP!I GAVE DUE RESPECT TO EVERY CHILD ON THE TEAM THAT BEAT US TWO TIMES!I HEARD THE CRAP GETTING TALKED AT BW'S,AND IF I'M CORRECT I THINK IT WAS THE GROVE THAT WAS TALKING IT!YOU CAN TRY TO TAKE THIS LOSS ALONG WITH THE LOSS AT THE START OF THE YEAR OUT ON ME,BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT WE NEVER WALKED OUR KIDS OFF THE FIELD WITH TIME ON THE CLOCK!YOU WON THE BIG GAME IN OUR LEAGUE NO DOUBT ABOUT IT,AND I OR NOONE ELSE EVER DID,OR SAY ANYTHING AGAINST THE YOUNG MEN OF THE GROVE.

IF YOU READ SOMETHING IN MY POST THAT WAS STIRRING CRAP THEN YOUR A IDIOT! NOTHING BUT RESPECT,IF YOU NOTICE I WASN'T BITC--HING,IT WAS YOUR PARENTS.I STATED THAT I WOULD'VE LIKED TO HAD THE 4TH GRADE KID ON MY A- TEAM.SO IF YOU GOT ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY TO ME ABOUT THIS THEN FEEL FREE TO CALL ME..I SENT YOU A PM WITH MY #,AND WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO CALL!

ONE MORE THING...WE CAN TALK ABOUT THE REFS ALL DAY LONG...IF YOU REMEMBER THE SCORING DRIVE THAT YOU SCORED ON HAD A HUGE DEFENSIVE HOLDING CALL ON 3& 7 AND THE PLAY WAS STOPPED FOR A FEW YARD LOSS,AND THATS THE DRIVE THAT WENT ON TO BE THE GAME TYING SCORE YOU HAVE NOT HEARD ONE SINGLE PERSON FROM THE HILL TALK ABOUT THE REFS ALL YEAR,WE WERE WILLING TO TAKE ANYTHING ANYONE SENT AT US....I CAN HANDLE LOSING,BUT I'M BEGINNING TO WONDER IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE 2 LOSSES THAT YOU HAD THIS YEAR?

THIS IS IN NO WAY,NO HOW DIRECTED TO THE YOUNG MEN OF THE GROVE!YOU YOUNG MEN HAD A TREMENDOUS SEASON,AND DESERVE ALL THE PRAISE THAT IS GIVEN.I ALONG WITH EVERY MEMBER OF THE COACHING STAFF LET THESE YOUNG MEN KNOW THAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE A OUTSTANDING BALL CLUB,NOTHING SHORT OF THAT!

THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF AN ADULT THAT GETS TO INVOLVED,AND HAS NO HIGHLIGHTS FOR THEMSELVES!

I have watched that coach all year long thinking to myself....when is someone going to call him out on the way he shows himself out there. These boys need to be taught the game and discipline but ignorance should be left out of it. It just takes so much away from the kids who have worked hard all year when their "leader" belittles them and the other team in front of a stand full of people. His boys were wonderful but he puts me in mind of someone who was always picked last in gym class and is just now getting his revenge. Good job young men! You had a wonderful season! Dont let a few rotten tomatoes spoil the bunch!!!

seems this coach must have really had a reason to blow off some steam.
first, i know that the first time at the orange bowl the refs put it to the ohio teams(all of them) for some reason. it was also stated in an earlier post that there were a few bad calls this time too. its not right to do this in front the kids but sometimes (and we have all done it) say something were not supposed to. if this wasnt even the coach of this team why did they leave the field. at least stay and finish the game . you never know what can happen in 4 -5 minutes of football!!!!!

was this guy in the stands or on the field? If he was on the field.WHY??

he was on the field with a team and is the b team coach. it was not his team sao therefore he had no reason to blow off anything like he did. if people wanna take up for him and make excuses for his actions thats ttheir business, but i most certainly am not it was not the time or place to show his sorry hind end.

if the refs have a rep as such why take your team and then get mad and walk off the field?

you dont think they hear that to. parents need to keep composure too, during these games.
So whats the difference between the other side of the line. (NOTHING!!!!!!)
