They play in the Gallipolis Wooden Bat tournament on Saturday, May 28. Tigers play Piketon at 12 noon while Gallipolis opens the event at 9:30 a.m., vs. Symmes Valley. Thanks.

The correct ruling for ending of game can be found on page 33 rule 4 section 2 article 3. It states if weather or darkness interferes with play so that the game is called (ended) by the umpire, it IS a regulation game: a) if five full innings have been played, or if the home team has scored an equal or greater number of runs in four or four and a fraction tuns at bat than the visiting team has scored in five turns at bat; or b) IF PLAY HAS GONE BEYOND FIVE FULL INNINGS.

The Greenup game had just started the 7th inning. Greenup had scored another run to make it 7-2 with no outs. Therefore both teams had an equal number of at bats (6) through six innings. This game should be a completed game; with a score of 6-2 due to the seventh inning not counting.

Yes they do now. They were just installed this year. Wheelersburg is hosting a National Challenger tournament this year and needed the lights to be able to host. It is actually pretty cool when you are heading towards the fields and they are on. It looks like Field of Dreams lights.

The Burg was up 5-0 in the top of the 7th when I left. Very impressive defensive performance by the Pirates tonight and some timely hitting and base running taking advantage of Valleys miscues.
