Good luck to the SEOAL champion Chieftains in Round 2........win the line of scrimmage, and you will probably win the game.

It's a toss up in my opinion, but I don't know much about Louisville. If anybody could post concerning their size, speed offensive and defensive philosophies, i would be more informed.

Louisville is basically Logan looking in the mirror.
Spread offense, talented, mobile QB, good receiver. Line is "small" but fast and physical.
On defense, it's a 5-3 will smallish, but very fast D-Linemen, active linebackers, and aggressive ball-hawking DBs.
Great coach and a great program.

Well, you heard wrong. The Leopard defense posted three shutouts and is allowing 10.7 points per game. I was at the Tri-Valley-Louiville game last year and I can say the stats don't lie. They held Tri-Valley, the same Scottie team that put up 31 on Logan's defense, to one touchdown (the second touchdown was an interception for a TD). Now granted, some players from that defense are gone. But it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Why play this game? Obviously, Logan doesn't stand a chance. Has anyone told Dale and his boys not too put out too much effort because it is futile to resist?
Re: Round 2 (11-0) Louisville vs. (11-0) Logan At ZANESVILLE
Dazed: I agree with you..Why should Logan even show up to this game? Obviously we don't stand a chance so we should just start practicing for next season. One would think from reading these posts that Logan is 5-5 or 6-4 and barely won the games that they did instead of the 11-0 team that they actually are that dominated every school they played. Maybe some day people will actually give Logan the respect that they deserve. GO LOGAN!!
Re: Round 2 (11-0) Louisville vs. (11-0) Logan At ZANESVILLE
Fact of the matter is Logan will have to play the best game they have played all year to even have a chance. Lousiville is hands down the best team in DII and I will be shocked if they don't run the table. While Logan had an incredible season they are in for an eye opening experience. This isn't the SEOAL. Time to step it up.

As a wise man just said to the team, "You only have to beat them once, and they are a high school football team just like you are."
Focus on ONE play at a time.

Re: Round 2 (11-0) Louisville vs. (11-0) Logan At ZANESVILLE
To me it seems that word is getting around Louisville that we are a lot better than what they are giving us credit for. Its almost like the players watched the films and then got the word around that they arent going to beat on us like they've done to everyone else.
Logan can definatly win this ball game. We can all agree that were going to have to play the best game of the year but uhhhhh.....DUH! Its playoff time! You have to play your best every week from here on out! This team CAN be beat, we just have to go out there and do it!
I dont know about all of you guys but im sick and tired of hearing that we cant compete and the only arguement they have is that were from here and there from there. Pure ignorance. Fans, please be ready to raise some hell Friday. The team is going to need it!

No doubt Coach Amyx will have the boys ready to go, and I don't think it will take a lot of work to get the boys fired up.
This is definitely the biggest game for the Chieftains since Upper Arlington in 2000. But also, remember in that same season Logan "couldn't" hang with Westerville South or Pickerington either.
Our coaches will prepare, our kids will prepare, and if the kids execute and avoid mistakes they'll have opportunities to win the football game.

Louisville wins this one going away! They have marginally better players at skill positions, much better line on both sides of the ball, and most importantly are more tested on a weekly basis. Except for 2-3 weeks Logan as not been tested, played a weaker schedule, while their fans(at least on this site)walk around puffed up like a BIG FISH IN A SMALL POND.Louisville 42-14
