maybe they should have played more of them. you all didn't even make the play-offs this year.![]()

Great Season Logan and great game for both teams Defense was the key to this game
Just wondering about the punt that logan tiped and they said that logan had possesion of the ball......Not really sure that he had possesion of it but one call doesnt help
Logans D played Lights out

I was curious about the blocked punt as well, but I think this is the rule.
The punt was blocked but it went past the line of scrimmage in the air. The Logan player then touched the ball, which basically makes it like he was receiving the punt. He then lost the ball and Louisville covered the ball. The fact that he did or didn't have possession is irrelevant because the ball crossed the line of scrimmage and was touched by a Logan player.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the ruling that was made.

Congratulations Logan on a GREAT and very impressive season. Many records broken. Exciting games. I am so proud of this group of kids especially my brother and step brother. Patrick and Mason, SPECTACULAR SEASON!
NCF, I know i shouldn't take anything you say seriously, but i'm personally offended by how badly you have disrespected the Logan Football team. Are you insane? Questioning an 11-1 team that lost by a touchdown to a very good louisville team? Get Real and have some respect for the Logan boys, and please do us all a favor and act your age.

jealousy Jealous of what? ZERO STATE TITLES? ZERO SEMI FINAL GAMES? I am lost on this matter.hawkeyepierce wrote:Seems like playing a school your own size and getting shutout by them has left you in a bad mood. I can see why you as a fan want Logan to play a D-6 team they can beat up on them something they are very good at doing against smaller schools.
Enjoy you wins over smaller schools and let the big boys in D-2 continue playing.
NCF, jealousy is an undesirable character trait.
8/22 H Lancaster (6-4) [1:3] W 35-10
8/29 A Pickerington North (5-5) [1:3] W 35-14
9/5 A Hamilton Township (5-5) [2:7] W 31-0
9/12 H Gallia Academy (5-5) [4:15] W 40-7
9/19 H Ironton (7-3) [4:15] W 35-10
9/26 H Zanesville (5-5) [2:7] W 16-14
10/3 A Marietta (4-6) [2:7] W 49-14
10/10 H Warren (4-6) [3:11] W 42-0
10/17 A Jackson (5-5) [2:8] W 48-7
10/24 A Chillicothe (7-3) [3:12] W 22-13
10/31 H Dublin Jerome (8-2) [2:7] W 23-7
Logan played two DI and beat them handily, and five DII schools and beat them, as for the rest they fall into their conference schedule which they cannot be expected to apologize for.

I seriously doubt that. There are some very good teams left in D2.
Eight to be exact. Louisville has already blown one of them off the field. The last State Champ. That leaves seven, oh wait-one IS Louisville. Then six.
I like those odds when I look at a couple of other region's finalists.

Can you blame them for having chieftain envy?!?! We've played them 3 times since the 80's and one has been a close game and the other two have been blowouts. Their just not what they used to be. Poor guys, it has to be hard for them to deal with it! Give them a break.

Nope, can't say I blame them at all.

Thanks so much for ironman02 for that i wasnt sure what the rule was for sure
Re: Round 2 (11-0) Louisville vs. (11-0) Logan At ZANESVILLE
No problem. I was confused at the time as well, but after I realized that the punt crossed the line of scrimmage, I was able to figure it out. You don't usually see a blocked punt do that, so it's not a familiar situation.

I think 34 straight for the Tigers is right. I'll have to do some checking.
Ironton won 6 straight Championships from 71-76, Logan won in 1977 and then the Tigers won 7 straight from 78-84. Ironton got out of the League after the 84 season. Logan beat Ironton in 77 by a score of 21-14 to keep the Tigers from winning 14 straight Championships.
