I seriously doubt that. There are some very good teams left in D2.

Eight to be exact. Louisville has already blown one of them off the field. The last State Champ. That leaves seven, oh wait-one IS Louisville. Then six.
I like those odds when I look at a couple of other region's finalists.
Chieftain Envy?

I just noticed that DeSales handily defeated the just possibly, very likely D2 champ. Whoops.

And i guess a Logan fan can roll his eyes and laugh becuase for some reason that trumps any conversation no matter how long it has been since it happened. I still havent figured that out.

If Logan stays D-2 They will continue to be in the Mix. You guys made me a believer after that game against Louisville.

As for the whole state the program is not ready but are good enough on a downpour of a night to beat anyone in D2 next year. They have slowly but surely been making changes to the program but there are things that they just dont wanna let go. Such as Dale Amyx running the weightroom. That needs to change. When we get the size that we have here under bars pumping iron THE RIGHT WAY then we will be true contenders.

Well whip you out a film or two or 7 and i promise you that each one you will see Gallia having a more powerful line than Logan. I promise.

It is becuase Logans weight lifting program is in the 1960's and everyone else has came to realize that you dont do 3 sets of 10 every week and expect to gain. Just no real thought put into it. Someone with real knowledge needs to be down there working with the kids.

Negative.

How Coach Amyx operates the weightroom is he walks down there and takes a look at "the board" and thinks "hell, we havent done these in a while, we'll just do some of these today". No real in depth plan of a workout just whatever is on his mind. Im not trying to sound like im downgrading him but the weightlifting program is so bad because he is so stubborn about letting anyone go down there and take it over. Someone with a real background in powerlifting needs to be down there.

You've also got to have many (willing) bodies showing up in that weight room. Commitment and Desire! All the best lifting routines won't help if the boys don't show up and dig in.

I do not believe that has been a problem. Another thing i havent really considered is our standout athletes every year are generally 2-3 sport athletes and those coaches need to step up the weight lifting routine/program as well.

NCF, until your varsity team can hang with Logans JV, you cannot judge Logan.

Hey now they've had a state title before. That means that you can beat anyone in the future.

Ironton may be looking for a game in 2011. Chariots of the Gods!
