Re: Playoffs Round 2 Trimble Tomcats vs River Pilots
I hope the OHSAA puts that game in Marietta. Won't make sense to make both teams travel to ZHS. I think both teams would rather play on turf, plus there's plenty of good places to eat.
nice to see 2 teams that never played each other see how much filmwork they can get done in 6 days. don't know much about trimble. tried to read the game story on messenger.com but it doesn't allow it.
anyone got any stats on trimble's team or where i could find them? i'd be interested in seeing how they compare to river's that i read in paper.

What stadiums have turf in between the 2 schools. All I could think of was Marietta.

hey ranchdressing,
Let me start off by saying you taste pretty dang good on pizza and boneless wings.
I don't know about being any good at pool but that table must have some kinda lean to it because all the balls seem to lay against the rails. Its also missing a few corner pieces so whatever the kool aid man did on that table he must have did it well. As far as the fat girls go i'd say more than likely the kool aid man was the one bent over the table.

Don Drumm Stadium put in field turf in 2005. Then, unfortunately, they had a massive flood. The silt from the flood really packed down the rubber from the field turf making it a real fast track. This field will favor the faster team. I hope that the Tomcats are the quicker of the two!

Re: Round 2 (9-2) Trimble vs. (11-0) River At Marietta
Here is some info on River:
2008 Schedule
H Fort Frye (3-7) [5:19] W 35-0
H Magnolia (WV) (5-3) [4:0] W 31-6
@Monroe Central (7-3) [5:19] W 27-6
@ Toronto (0-10) [6:23] W 40-0
@ Caldwell (8-2) [6:23] W 14-7
@ Bishop Rosecrans (6-4) [6:23] W 35-0
H Bridgeport (6-4) [6:23] W 49-6
H Shenandoah (4-6) [5:19] W 42-0
@Buckeye Trail (0-10) [5:19] W 49-7
H Frontier (2-8) [6:23] W 56-12
Playoffs
H Bishop Rosecrans W 38-13
Conference: Pioneer Valley Conference
Playoff Opponents: Caldwell, Bishop Rosecrans, Bridgeport
Common Opponents: Caldwell
River is no stranger to the playoffs of late. The Pilots are making their third 3rd playoff appearance in four years and fifth overall. In their last two appearances, Shadyside ousted them in the Regional Semifinals.
A veteran defense, which has seven returning starters, leads the River attack. The Pilots have held their opponents to a touchdown or less in 9 of their 11 games. The offense, which is led by 1,000 yard rusher Tyler Brooks and junior quarterback Dylan Potts, isn’t too bad either. River has put up at least 27 in 10 of its 11 contests and is averaging 38.7 points per game. When the Pilots do score, the extra point is pretty much a lock. Kicker Tanner Wright is perfect on extra point attempts this season.
Side note: River’s D.J. Duke, an all-state defensive tackle, won the 2008 Division III state shotput title with a throw of 60 feet.

I know the responses on this thread will heavily favor TRIMBLE. I watched a lot of Tomcats highlights on GridironGlory. They're pretty big team and look extremely fast. That Marietta field should favor them.
i'll hold off ona prediction until later in week.
