TVC HOCKING POY? TVC OHIO POY?

Post by Poncho and Lefty »

Thoughts on this?

Federal Hocking-Saylor for Hocking Division. Hands down.

Alexander-Jones for Ohio Division.

Just my thoughts.

Courts had 19 versus Athens

Chesser had 24 versus Athens and 17 versus Nelsonville-York
Kidd had 20 versus Athens and 27 versus Nelsonville-York

Burrow had 17 versus Vinton County and 18 versus Wellston

My opinion they should not give this award out this year. Bad teams and no stars. TVC really down this year.

Like how everyone wants to bash Saylor and make his stats lower than they are. Against Eastern Saylor had 8pts 8rebs. He has had 8rebs in all of FH's first 3 games and is averaging 13 a game. I believe he is also shooting a very, very high percentage shot. Also, the things that you don't see make a big difference; against Marietta, the kid he was defending shot 0-11. At miller, Skylar Hook was 0-6 with Saylor on him. Against Eastern, I believe Parker had only 4pts. Kid must be doing something right because the lancers are winning.

Its very easy to go from 'supporting' a certain player - to sort of bashing other players ... Please try and refrain from putting kids down.

thx

Don't think anyone should be talking POY after only 2 or 3 games.Give all the kids a chance to earn the award after playing the season.Let their play dictate who should get the award not your opinions. They all have a chance to make POY but they have to play the games first.Lets give them the opportunity before promoting them and lets not ever bash any of them.

That may be true but that is your opinion and it should be not voiced on here or any other forum. You don't have to bash kids and call them "useless" to get your opinion heard.
. I agree! Unfortunately the kids won't stay off these sites and teenagers have enough problems with self esteem without adults putting them down on public forums. Say what you want about each other, the refs, or the coaches. We are adults and should be able to take it. BUT LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE! Btw, that was me "blowing up".

I deleted some of the posts, sorry ... Not all of them were bad; but when you quote the ones that are - that post needs to be deleted as well because the stuff still appears.

There are ways to go about talking about a players skill set - and flat out calling them not very good or just using a total negative approach is not the way.

(i.e. Player John Smith hasn't really excelled yet this season like I or we thought he would ...or say something like this: John Smith is a solid player but by no means is he a player-of-the-year candidate. There are other players in the league that are playing at a much higher level right now.)

I don't think people have hard feelings, I think they are looking at stats.
