I think Waterford will suprise a lot of people this year... Everyone keeps talking about "the big kid", who is a good presense on the team and helps them out immensly; but this team also has a few other players that are very capable of adding some major points in any given night. This team has some very scrappy kids on D. Best of luck Cats!!!!!

I don't know how Waterford is the favorite. Last time I checked, ONE person does NOT make the whole team. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong. :?

I will tell you why Waterford will be good this year. They return their leading scorer from last year in Strahler. Cunninham will be a force if he stay under control. They return two other very good seniors in Miller and Hall. They have great size on the bench in Pottmeyer, Porter, Kimper, and a new freshman that may start at guard who is 6-5. I think they will have one of the most surprising players in the Hocking this year in L. McCutcheon who may start some games. They can go 12 to 13 deep if they want to. This Wildcat team is very young but loaded at talent but they are low on experience. With four seniors who care about the team I think this team will be ready to go.

That's the one flaw that Waterford will have, Experience, other than that they will be alright

Wow, I thought Strahler came off the bench last year. I didn't think he started until late in the year. I may be wrong, I did not watch all their games... Are you saying he had more points than Lang, Cunningham or Hendershot?

I really think the Hocking will be very interesting this year. The top 5 teams can beat each other on any given night. Giving the nod to Waterford tho

1. Waterford
2a. Southern
2b. Fed Hock
2c. Trimble
2d. Eastern
6. Miller

Cunningham and Strahler have a good amount of experience and alot of the younger guys dressed so its not like these guys didn't see varsity time at all. Also Waterford made is so far into the tourney the younger guys had to learn something from seeing these high pressure and must win games.

distance40,
ur right. and dj looks good. and so does strahler. but in all that i have read on here, Trimble is the best thing since sliced bread. They may have a kid who is 6'6 to 6'10 who can jump out of the gym(wow!). and they are good at football so they have to be good at basketball. overall i think that it will all come down to the last meeting between the cats of the tom and wild variety(what the heck is a tomcat?) And this will all come down to this new kid vs cunningham in points+rebounds. and accoring to the tomcats  on here, new kid will have 37 points and 13 rebounds and dj will have 13 points and 25 rebounds. so the tomcats will win 88-79.

Trimble's best jumpers and speed are under six foot!
There is no player 6'10." Trimble has a young player that is around 6'5".
