Did anyone say who the Jackson QB is this year?

I have heard (just by hear-say so dont take my word) but two that are being worked with are Senior-Steven Kearns and Sophomore-Derek Rafferty but there are many athletes on this upcoming team so Coach Hall could make any of them a QB.

Anyone see the 7 on 7 last night? Just wandering what we looked like even though I don't hold much stock in the 7 on 7"s.

Jackson looked pretty sound defensively some errors here and there but it was the first go for them. Wash CH is going to be a pretty good team this year, they looked good offensively and defensively. The other two teams were okay. Jackson really needing to seek safetys and more work with their QBs but it was the first 7 on 7 as well. Jackson heads to University of Dayton on Friday July 13 and play first game at 1pm. 16 teams total for this one but 8 in the morning and 8 in the evening. Look for this to be a very good challenge for the Ironmen. Good Luck!

Last year, the first 7 on 7 was not very good and then the best coaching staff in Southern Ohio went to work and the rest is history. Go Ironmen.

The coaching staff definitely does a very good job but that statement doesn't give much credit to the players.

It seemed to me that Coach Hall and his staff were using that first 7-on-7 to play as many guys as possible to get a feel for what they have to work with this season. Most of the time, there were guys subbing in and out, and very rarely did you see the guys I would consider "starters" playing together for an extended period of time. After seeing a little live action, the staff can now see the things that they need to focus on over the next few weeks. I think that's the point that ironmen44 is trying to make. It's up to the coaching staff to put the players in position to be successful. They have done that in the past, and they'll do it again this year.

7-3 in 2009, 9-2 in 2010, 11-1 in 2011. Two outright SEOAL titles and two playoff berths. Seems to me that Coach Hall and his staff are getting the job done pretty well. It's funny what a single win in the span of a couple decades will do to a person's attitude.

Heard the Ironmen will be heading to Dayton this weekend for a 7-on-7. Anyone have a list of the teams that will be participating in the event? I think someone mentioned having 16 teams...would probably provide plenty of reps against some solid competition, which is always a good thing when you have so many young guys that will be contributing significantly.

Yep, he will be a sophmore. With some more weight and muscle he will be a running back to deal with.
