First of all I want to say congrats Tigers. You came a long way, and you did have a very good season!
Congrats to New Lex....you were the better team last night. We didn't play to our potential, everyone knows that, but that doesn't mean that your victory was any less deserved.
I don't understand why our boys acted the way they did, other than to say it was a very emotional loss, and I think they know they could have played better. They were mad at themselves. New Lex I hope you do go far this season. I also hope that we meet you again down the road because I don't feel that you got to see what Ironton is all about last night.

Congrads on your victory, however short lived it my be.

I CAN SEE THE HEADLINES THIS MORNING.......NEW LEXINGTON OUTPLAYS, OUTCOACHES, OUTHITS, AND OUTEVERTHINGS THE IRONTON TIGERS. ZEBRA77, LIKE TC71 AND ALOT OF OTHER IRONTON POSTERS ON HERE YOU JUST CAN'T SHOW ANY CLASS AND JUST CONGRATULATE THE OTHER TEAM AND STOP. YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO ADD EXCUSES OR IN YOUR CASE SAY THEY WON'T BEAT THIS TEAM OR THAT TEAM. IT IS PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT GIVE IRONTON A BAD REP ON THIS SIGHT. BUT I AM SURE YOU WILL HEAR THE SAME EXCUSES IN THE IRONTON TRIBUNE TOMORROW FROM ANOTHER TIGER WITH BLINDERS ON, THE SPORTS EDITOR.

Bruiser I've already given kudos to your team on their win, you on the other hand are not a realist region 15 will meet 13 in the state semis.
Maybe you need to go get another layer of skin applied since the one you have is so thin. You remind me of someone that had to be banned from to sports websites, because of their peeing and moaning.

And by the way I listened to the radio broadcast of the game and I have to say that those 2 announcers should be tarred and feathered, or used to troll for carp, for all the s**t that spilled from their mouths, it's people like those 2 and you that makes people hate other schools.

The most classless radio duo that I have ever heard, period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the risk of requesting repetitive information, what was the stuff the radio
announcers (covering New Lexington?) were saying? I went to the game, so
I did not hear of any it, although it has been referenced in this and other threads.

They made many references too Ironton looking stupid on plays, and how many of the Ironton players couldn't stop a good JV ball club.

I will not deny that their team out played the Tigers and the better team won,but to make such coments on a radio broadcast is outright non-professionalism, and totally classless in my book. This will be the last i comment on this topic.

Good Luck and on to the offseason for the Tigers !!!!!!!!
Can hardly wait till next August, and the Tigers run at the playoffs next year.

Good night and may god bless.

First off, I'm a tiger fan. Graduated from Ironton several years ago. But I have lived out of that area for a while. I still pull for the Tigers, and by this time of year, I pull for all the southern Ohio teams still playing. But as a fairly neutral observer of Friday nights game, New Lex was the better team no question about it. Even had Ironton played to their full potential and had pulled off the upset, I don't see Ironton matching up to Martins Ferry or Coldwater as well as New Lex will. New Lex stands a better chance of appearing in week #15 than the Tigers did and I will be supporting them now the rest of the way.

Now here's a little news for Tiger fans. Due to wanting to keep the wind at our back Friday night (we had little ones with us), we chose to sit on the home side of the field. There were 2 coaching staffs from the SEOAL, 2 more from Lawrence County, and one from Scioto County, all on the New Lex side of the field cheering for the Panthers. I questioned one of them asking why they were not supporting the Tigers. The reply was, "No one likes Ironton or Bob" and I won't quote it exactly, but something to the effect of Lutz not being very personable.

I just thought that once your team was done, you support your neighboring communities. I would have supported all 5 of these teams if they were playing and we were at home. Regardless of what I thought of the coach. When did the game quit being about the kids???
