Jumper,

Is the 1 senior the player that was kicked off back during open gyms?

Did the "senior player" not on the team transfer or just decide not to play?

Play the ones who WANT to play.Congrats to coach Kitchen for a fine start. They'll be young and probably won't have a great record but i don't care. I just want to watch a team that plays hard, plays smart, and plays tough.Good luck to the Cats and Coach Kitchen this year.

I met Coach Kitchen last week.. He seems like a very nice person.. I wish him and the young Cats the very best this year. I'll be supporting them as I have done for 40+ years..... (The good , the bad and the ugly.) :12223

Don't pay any attention to jumper, he is the self appointed "cheerleader" for the new coach. It's obvious from his posts that he is not from the Furnace and has no idea who the people of the community are or what we think. (I took offense to some of these statements, maybe I shouldn't have) I, for one, am going to back Kitchen and his decisions thus far concerning the team. There is NOT an uproar to remove the coach by the majority and I believe the Board will back the decisions made by Charlie.
Jumper, you need to heed the advise that Charlie gave you a couple of months back. You seem to be letting your devotion to family cloud some of the statements you are making. I am not saying it's always wrong, just look at it from all angles. It is not as bad as it appears, just normal politics.
I stated a few months back that there would be the routine grumblings from the jimmies and johnnies parental units and he needed to turn a deaf ear. This is normal everywhere. If, as you say, he is already starting to crack and is ready to walk away because of this then he has no business being here to begin with. I personally don't believe this because of what I saw him accomplish at West last year.
Sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy the upcoming season. I know I will.

Every school has disgruntled parents who are not happy with the way things are going.. Some of the most successful programs in our area has had a lot of them.. A good coach will be focused on the task before him, be thick skinned, and not sidetracked by any of this.
I've lived in Green Twp. all my life and am proud of the Bobcats and their accomplishments.... We've had our ups and downs like everyone else, but the kids deserve and need the support of the community in their endeavours.. I for one, say......" Go Cats" Have a great year!

I am from Green Township and registered just to ask this question. I have heard that the 15 players that were kept on Coach Kitchens team is the varsity and junior varsity teams. 2 teams, 15 players total. That gives you 8 players for the varsity game and 7 for the JV game based on 80 quarters per year, provided nobody gets hurt and none of the players will not have problems with grades. Can this be right?? If so, why cut anybody.

I hope its wrong, that there are 15 varsity players and who knows how many JV players. Anyone able to answer this?

Then I guess it is 15 players for 2 teams.
