FIDO wrote:Excellent facilities and even better parking prices. I don't like a field with a track around it but that's a personal preference deal. Anyway, Logan and Jackson both were outstanding in hosting games this weekend. You both should be proud.
I felt that way before we met the stadium, but when you factor in how successful our track program is you realize THEY deserve an outstanding facility just as much as the football team does. Sure, you could have built around the practice field but then you would have had to build another pressbox and buy another set of lights if you want to be eligible to host big time track and field events.
We have had multiple state champions and send athletes to the state track meet every year, they deserve a "jewel" as well.
I'm glad everyone enjoyed their trip to "The Chief." Superintendent Stirn and AD Ron Janey did an OUTSTANDING job of making the facility a reality. It's no Bill Sauer Field in a lot of ways, but Bill Sauer Field was no Logan Chieftain Stadium either!
Re: To The Logan School System!
I dont like tracks around fiels either,,,,"and ours will have one to", but ..there must have been another 20 yards ..after the track, befor the front of the bleachers .
we like to sit on top row, and and after adding all the seats that the home side has, we was...WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY up and away from the action, it is a jewel though, certainly something for the folks of logan to be proud of.
I think the visting teams, may have better seating, as far as being closer to the game

Re: To The Logan School System!
I think the administrators get too much credit. The PTO members of the past pushed and presented positive feedback to the community for a tax levy. That levy, supported by our voters who are still paying for this facility deserve the thanks. More fundraisers (like Nelsonville had) should have been spearheaded by the admin. if they wanted more credit. It would have saved us thousands+
Don't get me wrong, they did a lot, but it's what they are paid to do.
Thanks Logan-Hocking voters.
Thanks to the people who take their time to post compliments about Chieftain Stadium too!

I want to says thanks Logan! The staduim and the workers were fantastic! Everything was so nice and so were the people working this event. I felt right at home. We loved the reserved seating, those seats were so much nicer then the benches. Great job by everyone involved!

Yes, the facility was worth the drive and one of the few bright spots. The people were first class also.
I really liked what they did with the sound system as the teams took the field. They played House of Pain's "Jump Around" when West broke onto the field. I forget the song they played for Ready but it also added to the pregame environment.

I went there a couple of weeks ago to watch Jerome and Logan and it is indeed a first class facility. The new school looks awesome next to the football field and the food is great too lol
