Ill say this several didnt want it bad enough and you know the old saying 1 bad apple spoils the bunch.

Sider this is about Ironton 2009 not about any other team. So you need to save that talk for the West 2009 thread.

mega talented? Is that why coach said this West team is the most talented team he ever coached? Murphy was a soph, and was twice the player he was as a senior. Miller was a good qb, but no better than the qb this year. The difference was heart, desire, and conditioning. Most of them liked coach and probably knew he was done wrong. That's why a bunch of Ironton players were in our stands against Ridgewood and were going in our lockerroom after West won. The year before Lutz left, wasn't Triplett the lifting coach and the kids wanted him to stay because they liked him?

I would have loved to Coached the talent on the field. Mr. Lamb might be the best defensive/offensive linemen in the whole area and you will see his leadership skills come basketball season.

I get so sick of your Ironton football coach bashing especially because you think you are such a great coach, so...

True or False? You coached the 7th grade football team that are 9th graders this season? True!

True or False? You lost by 30 to Rock Hill at home? True!

True or False? Since you haven't coached this team in the 8th and 9th grade they haven't lost a game, including to Rock Hill? True!

GET OVER YOURSELF!!!

GO TIGERS!!!

Have you lost your mind it sounds like you have the problem? You want to point out that someone lost a game when they Coached at Ironton. Maybe you need to think about are you an Ironton Fan or fair Weather Fan of certain Coaches!!!!

Now hold on one second, I wasn't putting down Lutz or trying to raise up Triplett or say anything durogitory about anyone, I was just saying I watched them on film they looked out of shape. If you want you could say the same thing about 2007 West team which coached by Triplett who was out of shape or many other teams, its just the truth sometimes. Its not about coaches nearly as much as it about how much a player wants to buy into a system and work hard. And I hope to see Ironton come back to dominance in the Seoal next year...best of luck the fighting tigers

85 you seem to know a lot about me at least where I sit at during games and my stint as a Championship winning coach in the minor league system thank you. Thats all you really know is what you see. Your right aside from my 1 championship year as a coach I dont have any experience coaching. What I do have though is experience winning. I know what it takes to win ballgames. From 7th grade through 12th to 4 1/2 years of college ball I was never on a losing team.
As for talking about no heart and things Im just saying what everyone is thinking in the stands.

My bad sider I just to conclusions about your post.

Anyway can we get back to talking about Ironton in 2009?

For the record I never thought our kids had no heart.
Also for the record Ironton will be just fine.

I second that thought. I think adjustments will be made this off season and we will be fine.

actually, if you won a minor league title, you got me beat on the coaching thing. "Everyone in the stands." That is a big big assumption. We dont want to even speculate what "everyone" is thinking. Sorry about knowing where you sit. Much like me, your hard to miss.

As for 2009, as i said before it will be a great year. Many returners from this years squad. 6 big home games with Portsmouth, logan, chillicothe, Wheelersburg, nelsonville and Russell all coming to Tanks Memorial in 2009. A short road game to Ashland and gallipolis and a long road game to Warren.

Hey any chance we could buy Warren out of their home game and play 7 games at Tank Stadium?

Why did a topic that was supposed to be about Ironton 2009 become another coach and team bashing topic? Why not look in the mirror at yourselves? The coaches and the boys had a good year. They lost a game, so what? The majority of this team was in good shape and they have had coaches in the weight room all year. Coach Hammer has done an awesome job with these boys. Whatever axe you have to grind against the coaches should be to their face not on a forum where these kids can read all this crap! I am looking forward to next year and I really hope all the naysayers stay home.

Well one adjustment ironton needs is some true fans that will stay with them the hole game instead of just givin up on em the only games it seemed to me that we had any fans was burg and westfall and thats sad if ur up by 20 or more they leave if ur down by two or more touchdowns they leave there just not what u can consider true fans. ....... but anyhow good luck in 09 tigers

I agree with you bucknut. Winning or losing stay till the clock hits 0:00. When we are winnig big and the 2nd and 3rd teamers get in they need your support just as much as the starters. Remember these are the guys thatwill be starting he next year. When we are losing the team needs your support even more because its disheartening to look up being down by 20 and seeing your so called fans leave.
