Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
Logan needs to get rid of the pistol, this qb should be canned(if not kicked off for 2 supensions in a season, once is a mistake, twice is a problem that needs to be dealt with) and replaced with the backup or #10. The running back is the only person, other than #10 and #33 that did not give up on plays in every game that I watched them. Put #10 at qb, let him run the team in a power I formation, he could atleast run options, and handoffs that way, and I bet that he can throw a decent ball to #33. Logan has a chance to recover some of the season, but not if they keep the players where they are up till now.. Too many mistakes in the key positions. Good Luck Chiefs..
Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
GAHS lacks speed. I don't think we have matched speed with any team we have played this year.
Our strength is rushing the ball and keeping the opponent's faster players on the bench or playing D.
I'm an armchair coach and the on field offensive guru obviously does not agree with me.

Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
Logan isn't slow, also a scary team as they have nothing to lose. Season restarts for them this week.hopefully not a trap game for the Devils. We need to come out early and dominate, and not let up. I still recall Angle and Mayes on the field in 4th qtr 2 years ago tossing ball down the field with a 60+ point lead, And Dale didn't let up. It was like Logan's parting gift to us and our new staff that year.

We'll soon see! :122246Logangrad wrote:Some football "gurus" have said Gallia has just as much talent as Jackson......I know they had two of their starters hurt early on, are they healthy now?
Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
Logan just might have a couple of the fastest defenders in the league but when you play as close as they do and someone a few tenths of a second slower comes through a hole they might catch them if going better than half the field but under fifth yards it becomes a different story. The ball carrier most of the time is up to top speed and the defender has to change directions and during this time the runner is getting down field on gone.Blue_Steel wrote:Logan isn't slow, also a scary team as they have nothing to lose. A friend of mine was one of the officials for the Jr hi games. He said he was impressed with Logan's 7th grade and Gallia's 8th grade.
Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
It will be interesting to see what offense GAHS runs this week.
Several posts seem to think LHS is vulnerable to the pass.
GAHS's most effective offense has been the two tight end power running game.
The powers that be at GAHS seem to dislike the power running offense.
All things considered, they'll run the spread.
Hope it works, zero points last week didn't work.

Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
Three years ago our personnel could have run the spread.
The offense should fit your personnel, the spread doesn't fit ours this year.
I also hope it works if they run it.
If they come out with it, hope they run at least 50% of the time.

Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
The game looks like it's going to be a mud bowl rain coming in no grass left in the middle of the field so it looks to be a running game for both sides But the powers that be may elect to pass who knows seen stranger things happen*(see ironton vs gallia thread)when its muddy anything can happen but Gallias defense is p.o. so look for a hard hitting game with plenty of turnovers I' ll take Gallia by 2 scores the o-line is playing great the defense is clicking on all cylinders good luck to both teams hope for a safe and injury free game for both teams
good luck Devils

Re: Week 6 Logan @ Gallipolis
I remember the 2006 game at Galipolis.....was a mud bowl and one of the best high school games that ever watched.......with galipolis leading at half by think around 10 pts.......and Chiefs coming from behind to win late.........think it was 26-20........

Weather looks like it could be a huge factor tonight, all bets are off in my opinion.
