Re: Wheelersburg vs. Green
Thw Burgs not a good team , maybe good enough for there first win. They should be Div 1 this year.

Re: Wheelersburg vs. Green
At the half it was 16-15 Burg, not to bad with Green's best player Cody Bruce sitting out 11 minutes due too foul trouble. with 1:18 left in the game Burg 40 Green 32.

Another offensive, or should I say offensive, display. At this rate I am becoming a fan of a high school shot clock. Even if it doesn't go in the basket at least you can watch the ball fly through the air.

Didn't understand why Bruce sit the rest of the first half after his 2nd foul. How can you leave your best player on the bench that long?
On the game, Burg couldn't throw it in the ocean in the first half. Came out in the 3rd period and matched there output of 16 points for the first half in the 3rd qtr. This is a young Burg team with only two Seniors who see the floor very little. The younger players should get some good experience this year and shoulod be fun to watch the next few years.
Derek Moore had a nice game under the basket. Scored around 13 points, had 5-6 rebounds and a couple of nice assist. Massie hit a couple of big three's in the 3rd qtr to get Burg out in front. Would like to see Cowgill shoot the ball more. Watched him in warmups and he has a nice shot, just need to shoot it in the game. Eddie Miller is very smooth out there and score a quiet 13 for the game.

As far as athletics maybe the worst senior class I have ever seen come through the burg. Any baseball or track guys in the group?
Re: Wheelersburg vs. Green
Not really the fault of the senior class. It is the smallest class in years. Only about 80 where burg normally has about 110. Maybe size does matter?

Who cares about the tempo of the game? If it gives them the best chance to win, I am all for it.
As for the senior class, six of them played a major role in helping a baseball team that was hit hard by graduation the previous year make it back to the State Tournament last year. I suspect that they are striving to do even better this year.
