How about the Logan Katie Smith's? I am done WildThingRV. Native Americans aren't the only ones who we have persecuted, just the only group we felt was appropriate to name teams after.

What do you mean "we"? Dude, if you're part of a group that's been involved in persecuting anyone, then you have a serious problem.
And please don't get on your soapbox and make accusations until you personally have done something to help out a minority, or anybody, down on their luck.
Have you opened up your home to a homless person? Have you donated money or time or food to someone who doesn't have any? Have you helped provide a job for someone who's out of work? Have you taken an active role in making someone else's situation better, or do you just get on a message board and rant about it? If you're going to call out others for a perceived lack of action, you better first make sure you're active.

You guys do not get it do you. If you have ever studied sociology, you would learn that the dominant group can never understand the psychological and long term effects that a history of persecution can have on a group. Don't try to walk in their shoes. If you look at Native Americans today, they still have their problems, and any psychologist can tell you why they commit more suicide than any other ethnic group. We can at least take a small step like changing a team name. We should try to clean up the stains of the past. God Bless America, but their are some things that our country has done in thie past that can never be excused, but we can try. I will stop with this post because I believe enough has been said, and I do not want a never-ending argument. I do value your opinions however.

Maybe you don't get it. It's not sociology we're making with a name change, it's history. In history, the nomads, Jewish, even the Spartans were out numbered and the only thing that saved those cultures was integration and cooperation. Those which conquered them either moved into their territory or the conquered moved out. Either way, over time they "crossed" with other cultures and became who they are today. Is anyone truely pure? If one wants to draw a line at the reservation, then let them live by their laws and stay out of ours like it's a different country or something.
