I am sure that the parents of the players probably do have very different opinions from yourself, myself and from each other, I am simply stating my opinion from things I have witnessed from these girls since I started watching them play back in Jr. High! This all started with me simply making a statement on something I felt that the coach wasn't doing to the best of his ability on using the talent that he has!!! As far as the respect factor, once again I will simply state, " You have to give respect to earn respect " and I as a fan have personally witnessed this coach be very disrespectful to this group of young ladies!!!

Hard to respect a coach who gives none in return.

Thoughts

Keep saying all "5". When I watched Peebles play there was not just 5 players.
Everyone on the team is a part of the team.

When I have seen Peebles play some of the players do not look like they get any enjoyment from the game. It looks like they hate playing. Maybe some of these girls are not playing because they want to but because parents want them too. They have done basketball so much and for so long they could be burned out.

Players play because they love the game. I would imagine that there are several players on several teams that do not like their coach...thats part of it....Players win games and coaches lose them..ya right.....thats what the parents want to say though...as numberonefan said peebles has a history of letting the parents run the program...its pretty sad really but its true...I havent been to all the games myself but from the ones I've seen I have seen some things done wrong by not just the coach but also the players...aau this aau that....aau basketball is the ruination of high school sports...i think that the parents from peebles should form a committee, get the coach fired and coach the team themselves...wait that wouldnt work...all the parents want their kid to be the leading scorer...that would probably cause some tension....

So do players, parents, and fans. Peebles girls have had 3 different coaches in the past 4-5 years. Given that I don't believe you can look solely at the coach as the problem.

I think that people in Peebles need to grow up, no one wants to address the real problem, parents thinking they have the next super star, if they would let the girls play, enjoy it and support the coaches they would be far better off, you cant have a player respect their coach if when they go home the parents are going on and on about how bad he is or what he should do or what he has done wrong, I think it pays about a nickle an hour, if anyone is interested in the job....?? if i remember correctly the current Peeble coach won 15 games last season and sectionals. Hmmm i guess he has NO IDEA what he is doing,....Seriously...?

When kids hear things from mommy and daddy at home than no they probably aren't going to respect the coach. It really is all the coaches fault, 100%. The games I've been to the girls have made all their lay-ups, got every rebound, shot the ball extremely well from the outside and most importantly NEVER got lazy and ran the floor the whole game but still managed to get beat (hence the sarcasm)....As long as parents want to continue to down the coach and be all for there daughters than the program at peebles will NEVER be where it should be...going back to having a new coach every few years based on the parents call just doesnt cut it....

If my child mouthed off to a coach and disrespected them, I would not give them the privaledge to play. High school sports are for kids to play and have fun they are still kids, and parents should back them win or lose and not just blame the coach. You are just setting your child up for failure, they will not ever know how to own up to there own mistakes. The only thing i could say about the coach is when those starters are to lazy to run up the floor put someone in who wants to play no matter what the parents say i hate laziness.

We keep on speaking about respect and hustle and parents this and coach that. The truth of the matter is we do NOT know what is happening/said at the players houses or in the gym during practice/workouts. We will continue to speculate things about a team when something just doesn't seem right. That's just small town, D3/D4 school nature.

Ripley's quick guards gave NA problems. Other than Emily Fite no one seemed able to do much against the Ripley defense. Fite had an outstanding game and in addition to the points she had several rebounds, played very good defense, and gave an all round great effort. Thankfully for North Adams she didn't have any foul trouble or that game wouldn't have been close.
