I have The Basketball Coach's Bible, by Sidney Goldstein. You can borrow it. The must-read explains the game, which in turn, allows you to become a more confident, informed, and knowledgeable poster.

I have read it and I now have the confidence I lacked in my earlier postings. My knowledge of a 2-3 zone and the 4 corners offense puts me head-and-shoulders above most posters and a huge hit with the ladies.

i plan on attending the north adams vs peebles game and i am hoping for an enlightening evening of basketball. i'll be the one carrying a John 3:16 sign and the funny wig. if peebles can handle north adam's 2-2-1-1 press they will have a real chance at a victory. i know we use the same press with my girl's 4th grade team and we are undefeated. i don't know if our success is from my coaching knowledge or the 5'8 fifth grader we have on our team who guards the basket. my daughter takes most of the shots but that 5'8 fifth grader somehow is our leading scorer.

i don't need no stinking books. i get all of my basketball knowledge from posters on sites like this one.

i always get a kick out of people who say they don't get their chain yanked then they respond with a comment that proves that their chain has truly been yanked.

Suggestion for Tuesday night: It's going to be a packed house at Peebles. Get there early and watch an exciting girls game between these same two schools. Both Peebles and North Adams girls enter this game with 4-1 records. Girls game will tip off at 6:00 pm.

The only statement I will make is this will be a great night of basketball and I hope everyone enjoys it!!

This topic was started to discuss the NA and Peebles game,tuesday night in the Holliday tourny.Some of us talked about what we thought must happen if the Indians are going to win this game.Right or wrong we talked about a few changes,that we think will help us play a more constistant game,knowing that one good half will not beat North Adams.Then a few people,who have not made one post about the teams,or the game itself,decided to try to be funny,using sarcasum,so called jokes,not even talking about the game.Well im tired of playing the little games,i guess kids will be kids,even though i know there not kids.I hope we see a well played game,it should be shl basketball at its best.Cant wait till tuesday.GOOD LUCK GO INDIANS

Nothing wrong with stirring the pot!! It keeps the rivalry alive! As a Peebles fan, I can take it and I enjoy a good debate! I also always enjoy a hard fought game with our long-time rival, the Devils!! Peebles is certainly the underdog in this situation. But that's okay, we'll work harder for it. Our boys have displayed their ability to work as a team, they want the win and I believe in them. I'm not making any predicitions about the outcome because its too close to call but I'm sure of the fact that the Indians will not give up!!

Manchester won by 13 points or so. West Union will play in the consolation on Friday against the loser of Peebles/North Adams. The winner of tonight's game plays Saturday vs. Manchester in the Championship game.
