belpre, alex, vinton, gallia.river valley and meigs this year, hope to take to a ten team tournament next year.
Re: Meigs invitational Dec. 6
I'm not familiar with the lineups on most of these teams; what will be some of the interesting match-ups?
Re: Meigs invitational Dec. 6
Best of Luck to everyone there. Gonna be some good wrestling for the veterans and eye-opening experiences for the rooks.

Re: Meigs invitational Dec. 6
This will be a good begining for the younger wrestlers (freshman and sophs) at least for Belpre going into the Washington County Quad and then off to Medina Invitational against some of the best wrestlers in Ohio. There will be multiple upon multiple state champions and placers at Medina. Can't wait until that one. Belpre finished 16th out of 49 teams from Division 1 to Division 3 with majority schools being D1 and D2.
Re: Meigs invitational Dec. 6
Medina has always been a great tourney to let you know where you actually stack up against the rest.
Re: Meigs invitational Dec. 6
I hate that this tourney is this weekend. I agreed to sub as a Saturday School PE teacher because the regular teacher has a wrestling tourney this weekend.

Take the kids on a field trip, or you could hold your own meet with them. Bring some scales for weigh-ins!

Out of all the Belpre kids matches all of our individual wins came by pin. Ashton had a Tech Fall (I think the score was 18-something) all other wins were by pins except for the 5 matches we lost.

Sounds like they did pretty good for what they had. And the freshman had a good showing. Good job keep working hard!
