Re: trimble @ fed hock 12-5
Congrats to the Cats on a win. This was a hard fought game with swings of 10 points each way. Interesting our Cat posters didn't put anything up until the 3rd quarter scores. May I remind you FH led at the half by 2 and had you down as much as 10 in the first half?
For our coach basher on here, you folks amaze me. If you think you can do better why don't you apply for the jobs?
This was a hard fought contest and I give a big pat on the back to the young Lancer squad that held in there to the end. They lost some contact in the 3rd quarter, Thompson got into some foul trouble and a few shots didn't fall. That was the turning point but FH fought back from something like a 14 point deficit through their drought to threaten again late in the game.
I told you Thompson and Torrence can shoot the lights out and they showed last night that they can. For 4 or 5 starters that saw literally no Varsity time last year they came ready to play. I commend Coach E and his staff for getting them ready to play. If you listened to 107.7 last night after the games you heard Coach E call in and talk about the FH program. This guy is a class act and knows the game. He'll keep these Lancers coming on. They need experience. Lancers never roll over and die they just keep coming at you.
Nice game by Trimble's Guthrie, good young talent coming up and exciting for the Cats. Trimble's guard's could be more effective if they would learn it's not football and keep the stiff arm out of the game. That's going to wreak some havoc for them with some officiating teams that will call it more closely. Last night was pretty wide open as far as contact in the second half which favored the physical play of the Cats. The Young Lancers will have to adjust to physical nature that some games will be.
Let's move on to the next one!!!

Where is GW Mclintoch and Steely Dan? Does anyone else hear crickets? Woooo Hoooo great job Koondogger. Now maybe the doubters will leave you alone. Well, no they wont, as you can see from the last poster. Excuses excuses tisk tisk. Well it looks like the football succes has carried over to basketball, just like Kdogger said it would. Wait, hear it, its those darn crickets again.

I'm here smelly. Good to see that you are able to post again after your "vacation".
Unfortunately I was working and could not go to the game but it sounds like it was a good one.
Congrats to the 'Cats and good luck. You readers will please note that I have congratulated the Trimble team more times in this post (1) than I smell bad has in the whole thread. Too bad he takes more joy in a FH loss than a Trimble victory. I would have expected smelly to be a little more quicker with praise for the Tomcats but he must be too busy on the South Gallia or 1982 Tornadoes threads to give some love to his own team. Congrats on win #3217 or is it #3218 (I don't know if smelly counts preview games).
Lancers keep your heads up. Play a full 32 minutes and good things will happen.

I Smell Bad.........what's been the excuse for the Cats' since 2006???? We've heard dozens!!!! FH never wins, eh, just luck into it!! Guess the Cats' won the Super Bowl or the NBA Championship last night. They didn't luck into it, they won straight out! Congrats to the Cats' and keep working hard Lancers. If you look at this on pencil and paper the Cats' have a Sr. laden team and so they should expect to win. That doesn't mean they always will and will have to show up and fight for everyone they get, just like the Lancers.

First - Congrats to the Tomcats on their win last night. Big win for their program, and good luck tonight against the Bulldogs. Hopefully, the roads won't be too bad tonight.
Pepe Le'Pew - I have been encouraging of the new coach and the program, but certainly have not been on here bragging up the Lancers before the season. Alot of bragging was going on before the season from some of your players posting on here, which got pretty boorish.
Good win for your program. There are 19 more to go, so plenty of season remains. Hopefully both teams will continue to improve and stay healthy.

Ahhhh I knew I could bring you boys out. It's good to have that ability.
As always, your insults are comical, and taken in stride
. It is all in fun, you two do know that don't you? I do wish you two would at least compliment coach Koondogger though.
Anyway, since I was successful in bringing you boys out, I will now compliment both teams on a hard fought game. I think, regardless of what softhitter posts, that both these teams will win several games. Good luck to both teams, and I am sure it will be another barn burner at William White.

Smelly - GW and I know that this is all in jest, no offense taken. You guys are pretty humorous during football, especially when week 11 was rolling around. Let's enjoy the BB season.

I agree. Though some of these new guys seem to take things a little more serious than you and I.
