"Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer " is still my favorite but I have watched "Elf" with the kids more than I would like to admit. My husband says any movie with a Christmas scene in it is a Christmas movie. He swears that "Die Hard" and "Lethal Weapon" are Christmas movies.I am not so sure those qualify.

Christmas Story and Nat'l Lampoon Christmas are right up there near the top.... I also like the "Christmas Carroll" with Alastair Sim as Scrooge.

I love them all too. I think one of the most overlooked Christmas movies of all time is Santa Claus The Movie (1985). When I was a kid I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! I used to pretend that eating a candy cane would make me fly like in the movie. haha

I remember my dad recording on a VCR tape Santa Claus The Movie AND A Christmas Story when they were shown back-to-back on HBO in 1986 or '87. If I had a dollar for everytime I watched that tape as a kid! And I also remember going to McDonalds in Athens and getting a Happy Meal and a toy reindeer like one from Santa Claus The Movie.
