I'd say usually this would go to lawrence. . . .but this is the type of year that scioto would probably have the edge. . . . just more good teams this year. . .

Boys anyway you look at it or spell it Lawrence county will RULLLLLLLE SCCCCCIIIOOTTTOOOOO Count. That my friends is not a fact, opinion, or whatever. That is a Stone Cold lock.

I agree with you on some points but get another Coach Bob can no longer communicate with the kids. All hear from him is the kids are different from when I first started. Yes they are Bob we agree they are stronger, faster and smarter.

They say that about Paterno and Bowden too and they are still winning. Paterno had a shot this year at the NC, but lost to Iowa.

Paterno also dealt with severe allegations amoung his players that led to suspensions and dismissals from the team, as did Bowden.

They are too much like a grandfather figure than a coach figure. Both are merely figureheads at this point in their respective programs.

Bleeding Red I agree with the figure head part but I also understand why people defend Coach Bob. I guess the question I would ask who would be the head coach of the Lawerence county team if Bob was not?

Portsmouth has the winning record against Ironton right? OK, somebody with records do this...Put the teams from both counties and the all time record against county to county and see what the all time county vs county is. That is the best way

Ironton will have their hands full with just the burg next yr without adding any other players from scioto and lawrence county's to the mix.

Very true. Add many players to that team from West (who was great this year), Valley, Minford, East, Green, Northwest, Notre Dame and Portsmouth and it would be a blowout

I would predict, based off this last year's talent, Scioto Co would score a ton of points and would win 42-14.

There is only 1 good school in lawrence county (ironton) So that would be your all-star team. Scioto county could combine West, Burg, Minford, and Portsmouth. There is no way LC could compete. I mean Ironton couldn't beat burg and west beat burg. Imagine what we would do to you if we combined.....BLOWOUT

Id love to live in your guys fantasy world. Scioto county has one good year and you guys think you could beat Lawrence county and now your talking blowout. WOW those are some strong delusions of grandeur you guys are having. The fact of the matter is Lawrence county would win in a close game. Just one fact Ironton played a tougher schedule than the entire scioto county combined and they went 7-3. So now your going to take their best players and the best players from the other teams around lawrence county to play you guys. No contest Lawrence county wins by at least 7.

I won't swear by these but a quick glance looked like scioto led the head to head in 08 11-3 and in 07 8-4.

Its every year. Scioto County always has 2-3 teams in the playoffs, rarely in this decade has Lawrence County had more than 1 team (Ironton) in the playoffs, if they even have since '99. What years has Ironton, since 2000, had more than 1 team in the playoffs and who were they?

Plus, like FBNUT said, Scioto Co has been whooping up on Lawrence for the past few years.

Rock Hill has made the playoffs a couple times recently. I'm not sure though, but I think they've beat West once since 2001.

Previous years, Ironton could carry the torch with little help. That's not the case anymore, as their talent level has went way down recently compared to what they used to have.
