Athens tough non-league will pay off for them starting this week.

I think the Bulldogs have geled at the right time of the year to make a run at a league title but, it could all come crashing down if they look past a Meigs team that allways is coached well and has gained some experience for their young team.

The Athens defense is starting to play much more like the outstanding unit we had last year than the one making huge mistakes earlier in the year and the offense is starting to open up a bit with better O-line protection. I would like to see the coaches make more of an effort to get Ian Dixon the ball , he has been very quiet so far this season for a kid that made a huge difference and some electric plays in some games last season.

Coal Grove caught Athens right before they caught fire! Athens by a big bunch here! Athletes galore for the Bulldogs!

I like the 'Dogs in this one ... But don't ever underestimate playing in Pomeroy!
Them Zebras have a way of seeing things a little differently down on the river.

Athens could win their next four games and maybe give NY fits!

I look for this one to be a little closer than most people expect. Meigs allways plays hard especially at home.

Redrocket you are correct. If you saw the third quarter of that Athens v. GA game you could see just what you are talking about.
