Congratulations to the Bulldogs on a hard faught win. Meigs showed up to play tonight and for the entire first half did anything they wanted to with the ball as the Bulldog D struggled to find themselves until Mitch Rider apparantly talked his way onto the field the second half and made a huge difference on the field. The Athens O was efficient and made a couple of huge plays to match scores early and the D found theirselves just in time for a big W. On a side note all three TVC Ohio games were desided by a single score and I would venture to guess nobody saw that coming.

First half struggling defenses, Second half a real slobber knocker. Clean game. Kids on both sides left it out there, that is for sure. Big crowd from both schools. Great halftime performance by the Meigs Alumni Band.

I told ya earlier in the week to look for this one to be closer than most expected. Meigs is kinda like Illinois is to OSU, they allways get fired up for us and play us tough even when we have a better team than they do. Meigs played very hard and limited their mistakes for the most part and coupled with a huge crowd on hand for inspiration they were able to ride the intensity wave for a long time.
