Wellston@ Alexander

Post by gorockets2 »

For the first time in over 25+ years Wellston will be playing under a new coach. Alex is very well coached so they will keep it close in the beginning. I think Wellstons speed and size will be to much in the end.

Playing in 'the alley' is tough ... I have yet to see a team shoot well at the end of the court where the students stand (no backround behind the back-board) ... I agree the Golden Rockets are probably a little bigger, a little stronger but the Spartans have shown (in the preview and against Trimble) that they are a very scrappy team ... I could see them staying in the game for while - but I too would definitly go with Wellston if I had to pick a winner.

Wellston by 15. With the great inside game of Ousley at 6"6 and Courts at 6"3. The Spartans may stick around early but the Rockets will end up with a big margin late in the game. Good Luck to both teams

good inside game and good guard play also.game will be close for a while then wellston breaks away a coach should be greatful to even have a bench of some players who would be starters for most teams thats something even wellston did not have last year. good luck rockets .warrington fires it up friday night.

Spartans are tough at home. I will be happy with a one point win. Both teams will be ready to play.

Depending on what wellston team comes to play on friday, they could win big or struggle. But i dont think alexander will be able to stop Courts and Ousley, im thinkin wellston wins this one on the road.

Wellston can win this game by 1 or 100. 1st game without coach D. They will leave it on the floor. Ill be there stomping my foot.

I think Wellston wins this one. The boards should be dominated by Ousley and Courts at both ends, quick guards in Brown and Craig and with Warrington hitting a few treys along the way, I just don't see Alexander winning this one but hey, anything can happen, that's why they play the game.

Good first win for the rockets!

I would also like to thank the Alexander basketball program for the class they showed before the game tonight. They had a moment of silence for my father and also gave our family a check for the coach Jim Derrow memorial fund. I speak for my whole family by saying thank you again.

Hats Off to all Alexander fans and their BB program. Real classy thing what they did prior to the varsity game by honoring the memory of Coach D.
