Amen Corner(which IS my HUSBAND and not me, KantuckyII) and myself have been walking about 3 miles each evening. He wants me to run but that is not going to happen and he gets mad at me when I say that....Walking does make you feel better and I have been sleeping better as well....Weigh in tomorrow morning....let's hope I atleast dropped a pound.
Re: Chart your weight loss for 2009 right here.

Weight this week was down 3 lbs. Overall, down 79, since posting on this thread, down 2.5. I usually average about 4 lbs. a month, so that's a big loss for me. I had set a goal for myself to lose 15 lbs. between Labor Day and Christmas. I'm close, but, not there yet. I'll take it though! Congrats to all the losers.

Re: Chart your weight loss for 2009 right here.
CRAP , I read this and I guess I am in too. I think my current weight is around 360, but I will have to wait until tomorrow to go to the FEED STORE to get on the market scales LOLOL.... ANyway, before a lost a knee and fractured my neck I was a stout weight lifting 240 3 years ago, but due a neck injury I have grown to my current size.........SO I too will join to see what I can loose........
I would say my ultimate goal would to drop to 200.....Thats loosing around 160 pounds......So I am guessing that the normal is 10 pounds a month which is 2-3 pounds a week. 3 pounds a week X 52 weeks is 156 pounds so I am guessing by next Christmas I will reach my goal or close to it.
Are we posting monthly results or weekly results?????? When do we start, Jan. 1 ???

Re: Chart your weight loss for 2009 right here.
DIET AND EXERCISE....DIET AND EXERCISE....DIET and EXERCISE!!!!!
I lost 70 lbs in 4 months. I lost all of that by very strictly eating breakfast (big part, gets your metabolism going for the day) eating a lunch and a dinner (of course), cut out the pop and drank stuff with slim to no calories in it, I never ate 6 hours before i went to bed (though 5 days out of the week it ended up being and i exercised for at least 1/2 an hour every day. I made it a point to lose weight so most days i did about an hour. I didnt kill myself and go out sprinting everyday, most days i simply got bored and would take an hour walk. Once you see yourself losing weight you get addicted to how you start to look and you'll find yourself taking a couple walks a day. Dont give up. Good luck to everyone in your weight loss! It CAN be done.

I'll be at this event, (with bookbag in tow) so I can tell the Peramedics exactly what you thought process was !! As an associate of mine once said, " I love that guy". I might go to Ultra. Think that will help ?85inside wrote:OK folks. i know a few on here threw down the gauntlet last year. i don't know how that ended up, but at age 42 and drastically overweight, Im starting today.

Good luck to everyone involved, it truly is worth it, mentally and healthwise. I have been on both sides of the stick, not to "toot my own horn" my past and success goes as followed.

2007 - 215-194

I have owned and ellipitcal for about 6 months, and use it 5 days week, it is tremendous, you can easily burn 750 caloreis+ in 30 minutes, if you work hard enough, also an excellent tool for pre weight lifting workouts ,to get that tone and definition.
