Its true. Valley knocked off the Falcons by a score of 53-47. I can hear the grumblings already....has the minford admin messed up another talented senior class es season with another bad coaching choice?

i dont think the admin messed up they had a good selection of coachs in the first interview process and selected the one they thought would be the best fit and a selected group of people wanted there guy and wouldnt allow the admin to do there job so it put the admin in a bad situation who knows this team could become great things still this year isnt over

When an Oak Hill fan starts this topic, and people seem to enjoy hard working, high school girls losing, and some are complaining they didn't get the coaching job, I have to wonder what this forum is for?? I was under the impression it was to discuss a game or something trivial like that. I haven't seen one post with anything constructive, critical or otherwise, in its content. So I guess that's just not important...

I did not know that a person from another area was not allowed to post information about other schools. Maybe this topic wasn't even meant for Minford, but for Valley and the great job Coach Merritt is doing.

I started the topic to get some info from the game which you yourself have not given. So instead of complaining just let us know a little about the game since that is what the forum is for.

the next level you sure put your two cents worth in on the forum when the lady oaks crushed the lady falcons. everyone is entitled to their opinions and comments. lets just try to get along here and accept the facts...1 lady falcons are a very talented group of girls 2 the lady falcons are loaded with seniors with experience and like you said they have played together since 3rd grade and play aau ball and 3 they are getting beat??? so you tell us why you think they are getting beat when this was to be their year ? i was shocked once again that the lady falcons lost. im sure everyone is curious as to why the upmost talented lady falcons are not winning.

I did put my 2 cents worth in when we were discussing a game, up until now, the actual game last nite was never discussed. It seemed to me that others wanted to discuss us losing, our record, and our coach. I don't think most of the people commenting were even at the game, so how do you discuss it? On the Oak Hll post, people discussed the game. That was my point! On your question as to why we aren't winning..same reasons I said on the Oak Hill topic. It was the same game. If we don't play defense, we aren't gonna win games against good opponents who keep their composure. Excellant game by the Valley girls, congratulations on your win.

first of all, I didn't even mention the Oak Hill Minford game other than the score. Next, I was just wondering who scored what? I have said several times that Minford is a top 4 team in southeastern Ohio, just because they have lost 2 games doesn't mean anything. We lost 2 games early in the season to Minford and Burg last year and we made it to the regional finals. So instead of you thinking that everyone is out to get you or your team, how about you just give us some stats from the game.

How did KJ do? How did the Bear girl look from Valley? How was the Arbaugh/ McManus/ Harris Matchup?

Wasn't one of KJ's best games, got into foul trouble early, fouled out with about 4 minutes of play time the entire game. Bear stepped up and played hard. She played very well and scored approximately 14-15 points. Maines scored about 21 points against Minford and she played very well and Arbaugh had about 14 points. McManus and Harris played hard and scored the majority of Minford's points.

Everyone acts shocked that Valley beat Minford. Valley has a good team and just because they are young they have not been given any credit. I am not saying that anyone of the post has not given them credit but in general they have not been given credit.

Valley played tremondous defense last night. At times it was hard for Valley to score because of the Minford's defense. Both teams played very hard in your face defense. It was a very good matchup. Cox guarded McManus and Arbaugh guarded Harris most of the game. Arbaugh did a nice job in the post on offense with 14 points. Minford has a lot more depth than Valley. Valley only played six players last night and they were able to keep their composure against fresh legs that Minford was able to keep putting in. Congrats to a good Valley team! Good Luck the rest of the season!

from the sounds of things it sounds like both teams played very hard ball.
let's keep up the good work girls. remember people we are here to support the
teams. when the girls hear negative things about each other and the coaching staff
that will affect them and how they play their game. let's try to keep up our local teams by being positive instead of the negatives.
