We all know there aren't that many good players in clay worth wasting gas money to go watch, this is for good players. Oesch, Elliot, Bricker, Loop, Mcalister.

No, Clay don~t have many good players, but they are a competetive team. The players from Clay to watch are, Garrett, Crumm, and Puckett

if my memory serves me correctly good old clay high school beat webster last year 11-2 so unless they have 20 year old freshmen i dont see how the team could mature that much in a year.

i wouldent put it past either school to have a 20 year old freshman

i kid, i kid

traditionaly when webster plays clay webster fields starters for the first couple innings, then uses mostly underclassmen to let them get to play and mature on the field for later use. but i do remember last year, i froze my bunz off. took all i had to stay seated for the entire game, especialy since it was a terrible game for me to watch, and not to mention the webster bus didnt show up untill like 45 minutes after the start time for the game. that was big big issue for webster, getting a driver

clay did have a good player not long ago, justin craft....and slightly before him they had benji richards

You played us while we were still trying to figure out playing situations. The beginning of the season was tough but I highly doubt you could have beat us late in the season. We'll see how it goes this year. Should be a good game.

The year that they played at clay I know for a FACT that the Young man that pitched for S.Webster threw a 2 hitter. Cause I sat behind the big Oak Tree trying to block the wind thats behind the back stop. Last Year was a ugly game.

oh yeah, i remember the 2 hitter now......it is all comming back to me. it was freezing out. the game last year at webster was the ugly one, year before that was the 2 hitter thrown by justin mongomery. he is the kriptonite for notre dame and clay. neither team cant touch him. i always feel sorry for notre dame when he pitches against him, but it is fun to watch for a webster fan

Pan-man may be a bit decieving.

Clay has some players...as far as hitter and pitchers are concerned...Im not so sure.

you might be just as well to list Panther hitters and pitchers like so:

Hitters:
1. batters 1-9

Pitchers:
1. Pitchers 1-5

If Riddlebarger comes out next year, he would probabaly be a little bit ahead of the rest in the Pitching department. I rember him throwing a few games his freshman year, but had alot of help from his supporting cast. Nonetheless...he has a little experience.

Garrett is probabaly the ahead of the game as far as hitting is concerned. He atleats put that bat on the ball last year, he also saw some playing time his freshman year which helped. Puckett had his times at the plate last season...just way too unconsistant. The same could be said about Pollard. Pollard saw some time as a freshman and finished up the year hitting well and came in last season and didnt do as well. Still had his times at the plate, but unconsistant. Ratcliff struggled at the plate, Dodrill struggled at the plate, (Those will be the Seniors this season.)

Im not sure who the Crumm player is. I havn't heard his name untill now, hopefully he could contribute. Is he a freshman, or transfer or what?

as far as fielding is concerned...I expect to see:

P-Riddlebarger/Pollard/Burchett
C-Garrett
1B-Ratcliff
2B-Mckenzie
SS-Puckett
3B-Burchett
CF-Pollard
LF-Dodrill
RF-????- A freshman will have to step up here...dont know who.

so, from what i am reading clay is gonna have a realy frustrating year for themselves. all joking aside, i realy hope that if they have a terrible season it doesnt make kids not want to play anymore. when things turn more into work and not fun no one will want to play ever again and that will hurt the team for years to come.

Im not saying they will be pathetic by anymeans. Actually, they should have a shot to end up second in the SOC behind Symmes Valley. I think it will take them some time to gel and get adapted to the game. This years roster will have very little experience, so ofcourse it's going to take some time. Id say this will be a team to watch out for every given night, this is a Mark Robinson coached team. It's just going to take some time.

For Eastern Eagles I think the top 2 pitchers are Osborne and Swiggett with Deweese trailing a close 3rd behind Swiggett. As far as best hitters for Eastern I think Osborne or Burner has the most Power but Swiggett and Deweese make the most Contact.
