I will tell you what i know about Crumm. He hasn't played baseball in 3 years(which was senior league, and he played for Clay), but the last year he played he played catcher/3rd base, and led the team in batting avg.
If i remember the stat correctly i think his BA was somewhere between .650 and .720.
And i also know that he transferred to Portsmouth to play football for the Trojans, but came back to clay and played soccer/baseball. So with that being said he should be one of Clays top 3 hitters(as a soph).

I think you will find out that Senior League is a little bit different than playing Varsity Baseball.

Wheelersburg still has some talent coming back. I saw the team play a few times and know Hopper and White is the most dangerous 3-4 hitters around. Nick Kemper also will put up some numbers this year being an everyday guy now.

Oesch from Minford is also a nice player. Look for some big production from him as well.

I think if elliot from burg gets enough starts this year he will get at least ten wins.

I agree, I think he will find out, and find out fast, the difference between senior league and varsity baseball, but then again maybe he will just jump into it and be pretty good. You just never know now-a-days.

Beawarrior....Clay has a great player from piketon named mccleese who is a pitcher and catcher. UNCONSISTENT? i watched there shortstop last year and he is a great hitter who has power to the gaps. Not to mention he is a great fielder, he just needs to make sure he has his elbow up so he can make a strong throw to first.

i cant remember, but i am thinking clay is the team that has a second baseman who is about 4 foot 11 with elevater shoes on, but he is a heck of a player. correct me if i am wrong, but i think it was clay that i remember seeing him play for. i just remember seeing this little short kid come up to bat and crushing the ball...more than once, and making excelent plays in the field

Pitchers:
-Mccleese-Is awesome at pitchin and has a a good arm at catcher
-Burchett-is going to step it up this year
-Riddlebarger

Hitters:
-Crumm is going to be someone to watch out for
-Puckett is good
-Burchett had a slump last year but i think he will pick it up
-Garret is a smart hitter
-Mckenzie may be small but he can hit

Alfie Bricker-He's probably the best player in the county he can pitch, hit, and play defense very well. His record as a pitcher is a little deceiving, because of the fact that he has had little run support

Travis Journey-Hits and plays defense very well, scrappy player

if you pitch shutouts or have a low ERA you dont need much run support. if your a great pitcher, and when i mean great i mean top 3 in the league all you should need is 2 - 3 runs from your team to get a win

Well, you must not comprehend how inept West has been at hitting the last 2 years. I have watched plenty of games when Bricker has pitched where he left/lost the game 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, or he would have 1 or 2 run lead, leave the game and get a no decision. The kid can play, he just has had little if any run support. Hopefully it can be different this year at West.

well, sounds to me like he needs to work on conditioning his arm and getting into a good work routine to stay in the game for the distance if he wants to assure his team a win. i know if i was in his shoes and i was pulled in the 5th-6th inning with a 2 run lead and ended up watching my team lose i think i would want to do something about it. not saying he doesnt work hard, i know he plays multiple sports, but maybe he needs to put in that extra effort, or just dig down a little deeper to finish a game

--HaHa....Not always the case my man. You should have tried to pitch at Western....20 K's in one game gets you the win by 2, but throwing a 1 hitter against Green won't be enough, neither will 17 k's against East. I could go on, whats the use though? You never know how many runs your going to need to get a win over there, no matter what kind of pitcher you are.....You can't do anything w/o a defense....Since there wasn't one, you could throw the best game possible and need 8-10 runs to win or even come close....I'm Pretty much just sayin you can throw a no hitter and still get beat at some schools because the defense behind you is so bad...

yeah, your right. that does happen. but i wasnt expecting the bad news bears to be in the field lol. let me re phrase things. if your one of the top 3 pitchers in the league with an averge to above average defence behind you and you are good enough to pitch a complete game all you should need is 2-3 runs to pick up a win

back when i played we finished every season around the .700 mark. i am not a current player. i graduated in 2001

but i think south webster is gonna surprise people this year. they realy are loaded with unkown talent. still a somewhat young team, but they will not be the jeeps you have come to know over the past couple years. each year they have been doing a little beter here lately and this might just be the year that they pull off a few upsets

HaHa that good????? I played with him also and i deff. dont remember him hitting that well at all. He wasnt even our top hitters then. . BEAWARRIOR dont know as much as he thinks he does.
