Kickinurz...I'd say congratulations to zane trace on an early season win against my streaks... I think Haynes played a great game and shot nearly 70% for the game. Streaks didn't play smart tonight, and it wasn't our best effort. Some has to do with sickness, and some with leadership. We can correct that. But i do believe it is early, and there is a date scheduled in January when the pioneers will visit the village of Piketon. So until then, ZT is one up on us.

Haynes only missed two shots all night. he was en fuego. I thought this team would struggle when Maxwell struggles to score, but if guys like Haynes are going to step up like this on a nightly basis, the pioneers could be very tough to deal with in the SVC.

Piketon has alot of talent and big men in excess, but they struggle with turning the ball over against on ball pressure. ZT got in their faces at times and made them turn it over, when they didnt they settled back into their zone and let kids who think they are sharpshooters, shoot their team right out of the game with repeated missed 3's.

I had a fella tell me that piketon had been upset last night. This was no upset. Lets be realistic here for a second. Piketon is really good on paper and in warmups, but this group has underachieved for quite awhile. They have done it in football and in the past in basketball. I respect coach Lisath. An old piketon football coach once told me that you are only as good as your seniors.

Listened to part of the game on the radio, and, agree, this is not an upset. I figured both teams would be evenly matched, plus, the Streaks never play well at ZT. It always has been a tough place to play.

But the season is still young. With hard work and an emphasis on teamwork, the wins will come. The Streaks have a tough one with Huntington Friday, then go to Mifflin Saturday.

So much for the undefeated season..........Piketon better do damage this year, because its scary to look at Zane Trace's roster for 2009-2010.....Wow........
They lose 2 seniors that even play 1 starts the other comes off the bench........
Maxwell,Haynes,Chamberlin,Cochenour Twins,Davis,Swepston,Tripp, all return........I saw them for the 1st time against Piketon and didnt realize that they were that young...............

Piketon has three seniors Brabson, Smith, and Helton. They return Legg, Helton, Vulgamore, Southworth, and Brush. They will also return Jordan Miller off an injury.

Why does everybody start talking about next year when they are only 2 games into this season?

The same thing happened to them during football season after they lost to Waverly.

According to Wkkj Southeastern beat the Pioneers 49-44. Maybe it is time to start talking about next season for the Pioneers as well.
