he's been over at my friends house when I was there because he dates his younger sister....and maybe im just growing but I just don't see it...and as for coaches lying about a players height, the better question is tell me a coach that doesn't lie about a players height and weight....I was listed at 208 pounds my sn. year when i was around 195

i didnt say Valley was unconditioned but YOU said that the pace will affect the bigs and I just said it wont affect Hank.
Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
Im tired of hearing about how amazing hank leslie is....if you recall before western..the hype was all about how special smithson and shanks were, it doesnt matter if the pace doesnt wear him out or not....the indians are gonna run your guts out, if the full court is as good or better than it has been, then the indians will take it easy
Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
BB21 speaks the truth after tonight the Mohawks will be 2-1 I hope the Mohawk players got a good nights sleep last night because they are going to be tired by halftime. The Indians will out quick these guys 2-1 in speed and Northwest will really struggle at times getting the ball up the Court. Like I said earlier Valley by 10+.
Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
I don't think the speed of Valley will effect Northwest as much as it did Western. Northwest knows what is coming at them now after the Western game and I see Northwest winning this by 5.

I agree with J-Bird.....
Northwest wins by 10+. I saw Leslie play twice last season. He will dominate the Indians and get many open looks and drives to the bucket with Valley "spastic" approach to the game.

Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
yeah, because since it happened twice last season means that without a shadow of a doubt, its gonna happen this season (dumb)....., again Hank and the leslies arent gonna be able to handle the pressure, but Im tired of talking, just watch the game

Oh yeah cause i forgot valley is the only team that conditions, everyone just goes to their practices and twiddles with their thumbs.....and it doesn't matter if you get sick of hearing about leslie or not because you're going to be hearing it all year long!

sounds like you are pretty close the the Valley program, maybe you should be spending a little more time focusing on the game rather than what everybody is saying on here

Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
That's the most impressed I've been with a Valley team in 4-5 years. They have some speed and quickness, but more than anything they play so freaking hard! Northwest didn't know what hit them last night when they had the ball. Valley forced turnovers and they were all over the glass. Chaffin (sp?) and Gibson give Valley great mins on the interior because they both never stop. Cunningham played a very intelligent game at the point, and Yates is as good a freshman as I have seen. And Arbaugh is very solid and does a lot of things well. He is very in control and the game comes very easy to him... he's going to be tough to handle towards the end of the season.

You couldn't have been more right about Valley's conditioning. They were full speed from the tip to the final buzzer.

Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
I totally agree crab_apple4. The Indians werent shooting to well from outside, but they seriously raised the intensity on "D". When they start hitting their jumpers and the intense "D", Uh Oh! The Indians are gonna be tough to beat.
Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
valley played much taller than they are.northwest was never in the game.they shot about 2 for 12 the first quarter or they would have won by much more than 22.

Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
The Indians still have areas that they will need to improve, as mentioned the outside shooting. Utley is a good shooter when his feet are set, and Arbaugh and Cunningham can both knock down an open jumper from time time. I haven't seen Yates shoot enough from deep, but I'm sure he'll be between 35-40% from 3 point land as long as he picks his time to shoot like he did Friday. But if they play as hard every night as they did on Friday, they will be in most every game. My guess is they win between 12-14 games, and cause some people headache's come tourney time. Of course there's a long way to go, but so far things have been encouraging.

Actually, it was a 6 point game at halftime and a 3 point game in the 3rd. Northwest shoots 16/53. I don't care who you play, if you shoot 30%, you will lose.
Re: Northwest@Valley 12/12
As i said before this one ever started Valley would win by 10+. I actually thought Northwest would give them a better game. The Mohawks handled Valley`s pressure better then Western, but as I said earlier Northwest would have to play a half court game to stay with the Indians. northwest will win some games but they are a year away (leslie only a JR.) before they have a chance to contend.

I wouldn't count them out quite yet they're only 3 games in....bottom line they went to valley and got a beat down for multiple reasons first and foremost valley has improved a lot since last year and northwest wasn't as focused as they needed to be and 2 they began with a weak schedule, they seemed to be playing at the pace they did in those games and 3 there didn't seem to be a vocal commander on the floor which is where it hurts NW only having 1 senior....But I believe you can determine northwest's season outlook not by this game but how they respond to it tuesday at oak hill then i believe friday at portsmouth those 2 games will show what the mohawks have and if they are legit or not!
