SP is young and undersized at just about every position. But give the kids credit they battle with anyone. And they most certainly remember that 1 point loss in the tournament last year. They lost their home opener to Sheldon Clark (Ky) by 12 and won at Rose Hill (ky) by 40 on tuesday night. However I feel its going to hurt their energy playing Boyd Co (ky) on thursday night just before this matchup. I think this pointer squad accepts the role as the underdog pretty well they were expected to get rolled by Sheldon Clark and battled all night long cutting a 20 pt 4th qtr defecit to just 6 with a couple min left.

I think this game could be an up and down high scoring type game with both teams having superb athleticism, it could also be a physical game as most sp/ports games are.

What all does Portsmouth return from last season? I saw the game with Peake at the convo, what was lost from that squad?

Dion Mckinley had 32 points and 25 rebounds......great all around effort from Wayne Evans too, as he had 20+ points and around 10 assists!

Yes we had nothing to lose..............My boys fought and played with Spirit and Pride..........And Coach Barnes teaches our kids respect and to work hard, which they do and did last night.........They never complained, and kept fighting and working hard.......There may or may not be a championship banner on the wall in Pointer gym at the end of this season, but we will be proud of Coach Barnes and the men of South Point.......... :12224
