Mike Chancey is a class act! He has been through the good and the bad. He has built his program and stayed true to his beliefs and his school. I realize that coaching is a what have you done for me lately profession, but Mike has just led his team and school to their first playoff appearance, he is the coach.

Very well said Mr. Hemsley. I was an assistant his first year at Meigs when we went 1-9 and the only team we beat was 0-10 Symmes Valley. Look at the Marauders now. You guys deserve the success that you are having. You've earned it.

Mike Chancey has been the subject of some unfair criticism in the last few years. This season he has led his school to their first ever playoff appearance. Anyone who has been around the game knows what a great coach he is and if you ever spent any time with the man away from the game, you would see what a GREAT person he is. Meigs High is lucky to have him. Those who criticize him need to look back at where that program was in the Mike Staggs era and remember how far Coach Chancey has brought the program.

with what he has done at meigs, i would say coach could've left for more money years ago.that he hasn't shows his character. the parents, kids and admin owe him. he is a credit to his dad.

Coach has been offered college jobs and other area high school jobs... he will be at Meigs until he retires, it isn't about the money to him, we are VERY lucky to have such a great coach!

i worry about threads like this because someone somewhere won't like coach. then it becomes an insult match. guys, lets let this one alone if you have something negative to say.
