Re: YMCA Adult Basketball League
These leagues are great for us older guys who still like to play the game, but I can tell you from experience that the leagues with no referees are not very good at all.
Every game turns to arguing & in some instances even fighting. And it takes every bit of the fun out of it. And most players will not return for future leagues.
You need to find a way to get some area referees to help out. Even if it would mean charging a little more per team entry fee in order to pay for referees. You will see that it will be well worth it in the long run.

Best of luck to you. Hope you league is a success!

Re: YMCA Adult Basketball League
I'm moving to the area to attend college at the beginning of the year. I was wondering if there are any leagues in the area so this is good to hear. However, I don't know many people and if anyone wants an extra player I would like to play. Is there a player draft or do teams have to register? I know when I lived up in Columbus the rec center that I attended had a player draft for the people that wanted to play but didn't know enough people to form their own team.
