Ripley up 53-44 after 3. Felicity is getting a little sloppy on offense and the blue jays are making them pay for it.

Ripley wins 77-68. Jordan Mitchell had a pretty good game. The only solid stat I got was Logan Perkins having 6pts.

I left the manchester/west union early. Manchester blew them out, Combs had a dunk.

The Manchester/West Union game did tighten up some at the end. Manchester was up around 20 and subbed out most of the regulars. West Union didn't and wound up losing by 12 or so. Thought it was a class move by the Manchester coach to let some of the other players get some minutes in the tournament and not run up the score.

Ripley takes on St Pat in the Pepsi Classic championship tonight. I think the Blue Jays are the favorite in this one but they will have to play better than they did against Felicity. The Saints' bench will probably be what costs them the game as they don't have much depth.

It will be interesting. Should be some good matchups. Daniels/Bales, King/Arey, Carroll/Justice, Sparks/Chandler, etc.

HOLY CRAP, Adams County's Most Mediocre News Source the People's Defender finally posted an article about Boys Varsity Basketball. Here's the skinny on North Adams' win over Eastern Brown. http://www.peoplesdefender.com/main.asp ... M=6905.873

They've yet to write one about Peebles, though.

Daniels is the most improved player I have ever seen, totally shuts down the middle. It is rare to see the kind of defense/rebounding this young man play's.

jchitwood, in all your travels, not sure if you've been looking at the defender but for the past year there has been exceptional coverage of Adams County sports. There is sometimes 4 or 5 pages of just sports. The fellow doing sports is doing an outstanding job. I realized the paper only comes out weekly unfortunately but that isn't his fault of course.
